History At Play™, LLC (HAP) has garnered international acclaim for their solo and ensemble Immersive Living History Experiences, chronicling the lives of legendary figures who changed society.

A Revolution of Her Own!™, the inspirational story of America’s first professional female soldier Deborah Sampson, has been performed over 2,000 times across the country and virtually, receiving accolades from journalists, actors, CEOs, & historians, earning a standing ovation Off-Broadway, on 42nd Street, NYC as an Official Selection of the United Solo Theatre Festival.

The hour-long production chronicles Deborah’s life: An indentured servant by age five, Deborah grew up in a man's world, where women were naught but second-class subjects. Without the ability to vote nor own property, Deborah knew options were: limited; breaking the rules may be necessary to accomplish a greater goal in life. Experience Deborah’s arduous upbringing; years of active combat; and success as the first female professional soldier through interactive storytelling. Deborah's passion will take you back in time!

This event includes performance and luncheon. Lunch will be served on the terrace overlooking the lawn and includes a sandwich, seasonal pasta salad, fresh fruit, chips, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverages. Tickets are available at:
https://needhamhistory.org/events-calendar/deborah-sampson/. A Revolution of Her Own!™ runs 60 minutes and is followed by a real-time audience talkback. Suitable for all ages. Rated PG. Includes simulated violence. There are no firearms in this production. Viewer discretion is advised.

Since 2010, the HAP Troupe has brought the legacies of historic trailblazers to life with live, in-person & virtual performances, keynote speeches, and events in museums, libraries, corporate settings, universities, historical societies, historic estates, senior living communities, and schools across the United States.
