Casting Complete for Williamstown Party Come Here

The world premiere of Party Come Here, directed by Christopher Ashley, with book by Daniel Goldfarb (Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me) and music and lyrics by David Kirshenbaum (Summer of '42), begins July 25 on the Nikos Stage of the Williamstown Theatre Festival. "Part farce, part fable, Party Come Here is a musical comedy that explores a collision of cultures as tantalizing as the sexiest city in the world."

"In the play, Jack is dumped at the altar by Kate, who declares that she will not marry him until she meets his absentee father, Wood. Off they head to Rio, where they find Wood playing house with a friendly bombshell named Volere. Hijinks ensue, with a statue of Christ and a 500 year-old Jewish caveman converging to make miracles happen during a tropical storm on one magical night," as described in press materials.

Musical direction is by Vadim Feichtner. Choreography is by Dan Knechteges. Costume design is by David Woolard.  Lighting design is by Howell Binkley.  Scenic design is by G.W. Mercier. Sound design is by Jim van Bergen.

Christopher Ashley (Xanadu, All Shook Up) directs. Hunter Foster (The Producers, Urinetown, Little Shop of Horrors) plays the role of Jack. Malcolm Gets (Amour, Anything Goes at Williamstown, "Caroline in the City") plays Orlando, Adam Heller (Caroline, or Change, Victor/Victoria, A Class Act) plays Wood, Kaitlin Hopkins (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Noises Off, The Opposite of Sex at Williamstown) plays Liberty, Kate Reinders (Wicked, Gypsy, Good Vibrations) plays Kate and Chauntee Schuler (The Lion King and The Producers tours) plays Volere.

Party Come Here runs July 25 – August 5 with performances Tuesdays to Fridays at 8:00, Saturdays at 8:30 with matinees Thursdays at 3:00, Saturdays at 4:00 and Sundays at 2:00.  Tickets are $37 to $39 depending on the performance.

Festival performances are held at the '62 Center for Theatre and Dance of Williams College at 1000 Main Street (Route 2) in Williamstown, Massachusetts.   The theatre is wheelchair accessible.  Assistive listening devices are available.
