I think the reason this has struck me (and perhaps others) is that she and Liam seemed to have found that "happily ever after"
that we all pursue but oft time is too elusive. Young(ish) fufilled in their work,in their love for each other, in their family. Able to engage in the entertainment business without being soiled by it. And even if you can't have this kind of situation, it IS good to know that it is possible to achieve, that it isn't just a fairytale.
Then, something like this happens, and you realize that "happily ever after" can end in a casual and arbitrary moment.
I will treasure her work that survives and offer my prayers and wishes to her family. May they provide each other with comfort and support in this tragic event. G*d Bless.

I loved her so much. It's going to be devastating to watch the Broadway community process this. What a beautiful artist. I'm so lucky I got to see her on stage.

It is time like this, that I feel life should be looked as precious and fragile. In a life that we take many things for granted, we sometimes overlook the big picture. How some of us are fortunate to live the life we have and to cherish it at the end of the day.

Even though it has been difficult time. I am sure Natasha would have wanted her family and friends by her side. I can't imagine all the great things she would have contributed to the Stage.

God bless her family, may the next few weeks be of comfort. Her being a mother, wife, sister, daughter. She is a blessing to her family and to the Broadway and Film Community

The number from Billy Elliot "The Letter" will best describe Natasha.

I've been following the story fearing for the worst, but hoping for the best. Unfortunately the absolute worst has happened. My thoughts are with her incredible family. May she rest in peace.

I am in shock over this news. Her performance in Cabaret is one that will always etched in my memory. My thoughts and prayers are with her family at this time.

This might be a little too soon, but I created a group on Facebook, for all those interested in joining:

This is actually kind of depressing; this is the second death group I've created in a week (the first was for a former teacher I had).

I will never forget the first time I saw Cabaret - I was 17 and was completely blown away by how raw and vulnerable her performance was. I kept going back over and over to see her.

She's had me as a fan ever since.

My heart goes out to her family.

Someone already pointed out the eerie similarities with "The Year of Magical Thinking." I can only hope Redgrave's experience with the work is at least providing her a little comfort right now.

Young and vibrant can be taken from us so quickly. We humans really are fragile creatures.

I just... can't beleive it. She was so talented, and I can only imagine what her 'A Little Night Music' revival along with her mother would've been like. RIP

Yeah...there are eerie similarities I noted yesterday.

My thoughts are with all of her family at this time. re: Tragedy Strikes as Natasha Richardson Passes Away at 45

I never saw her on stage, but had on film. What a terrible tragedy. Prayers to all in her family, and to her... Thank you, Natasha, for inspiring so many people in your time here.

I was so shocked to hear this terrible news, I wasn't expecting it. I immediatley played her rendition of Cabaret in her honor. My thougts go out to her family and they get through this tragedy. The acting community lost someone far too good far too soon.

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

This is so sad. I was exited about her possibly being in the Little Night Music transfer. She will be missed.
