I remember hearing Seth Rudetsky mentioning the possibility of Creel joining on SiriusXM. But they really should have confirmed the plans with Eden before making an announcement...
"Rather than ignore those who choose to publish their opinions without actually talking to me, I am happy to dispel any rumors or misconceptions and am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man living my life to the fullest and feel most fortunate to be working with wonderful people in the business I love."
-Neil Patrick Harris
Haha... hopefully Gavin's aware. I'm guessing they learned their lesson and that they waited until Gavin signed a contract before announcing his status with the production. I'm also a bit puzzled that they put that Eden left for "personal reasons" when she never signed a contract in the first place.
Thank God Eden is out of this. I just hate listening to her. And that's harsh, I know, but I cannot handle the sound of her voice. I'm thrilled for Gavin Creel. I've felt bad ever since Godspell fell through. Any chance they'll plumb that cast-that-never-was and also grab Diana DeGarmo for Sheila? I know she's an Idol-er, but I've actually always really liked her (yes, this ashames me somewhat).
Good for Creel...especially with GODSPELL not happening, it's nice that he's getting a chance to tackle a leading role this season. He's very talented and his 'GOING DOWN' is my favorite version of the song and my favorite track from the HAIR benefit CD.
Disappointed about Eden as I was really looking forward to seeing her. Ecstatic about Gavin though. He will be perfect.
"This table, he is over one hundred years old. If I could, I would take an old gramophone needle and run it along the surface of the wood. To hear the music of the voices. All that was said." - Doug Wright, I Am My Own Wife
I'm thrilled about this news. Gavin Creel is a great choice for Claude. I wasn't too happy about Eden as Sheila in the first place. I feel like she'd just try to riff her way through "Easy to Be Hard" since that's what she did in everything she's done so far. It was refreshing to hear the simplicity of the song in the production in the Park.
That article is lies, Eden didn't "with-draw", she never signed on. I'm curious as to if Gavin has even, yet.
