The only show that's made me cry is Les Mis, during Gavroche's death and Drew Sarich's finale.

Oddly, Rent, which is my absolute favourite show, has never made me cry.

Actually, another thing about 'Rent' that makes me cry is remembering how bad 'Rent: Remixed' was. UGH. If that's what West End producers have to offer, then I'd really rather never see the show again, and I was a pretty big Renthead back in the day. O_O

Two particularly moved me, Rent and Next To Normal.

Rent was so sad. During I'll Cover You Reprise I can't contain myself I just cry so bad! I dont think there was a time i didn't cry during that show or the movie.

Then Next To Normal, forget it! I was so sad during that entire show cause it is so moving and really shows what families and realy life is like. When the mother leaves and the dad starts crying, that is the most moving scene in the entire show. I cried the entire end of that show and all around me you can hear sniffles and sobbing which mad me cry more. Best Musical Ever!

Luke-h, I may be opening up a can of worms, but I curious to know who you saw play Kim in "Miss Saigon?"

In answer to the question, I am not a crier, but I have come close to crying during "A Little Fall of Rain" in "Les Miserables"(especially Lea Salonga's).

Sunday In The Park With George

never fails.

i cried at Miss Saigon... haha.. i'm a nerd

so I know that West Side Story is coming to Broadway... but do you think that tragedies like WSS and MS will ever make a comeback on broadway? or is everyone still loving musical comedies...

The first time I saw Ragtime, I knew nothing of the story. Needless to say, I cried many times and after the show I just sat in my chair and cried some more. Now, knowing the story makes me cry when I listen to Wheels of a Dream, Make Them Hear You and the Finale. If the production is good it will make me cry a few times, but no matter what I always cry when Mother calls Little Coalhouse onstage. Ragtime and Bare are the only musicals that make me cry. Oh, and Paul's monologue in A Chorus Line. Everyone has already said that, but that's because its beautiful.

I was fighting tears all through Les Miz.
I had a tear or two during Circle of Life in The Lion King (yes, I'm that lame).
My mom, my best friend, and I all broke down crying during I'll Cover You Reprise.

I've only ever cried during GREY GARDENS. The last 15 minutes or so pack a wallop.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

well i'm just a super huge baby but these are SOME of the cry spots.

ACL - there are several spots including the oft-mentioned Paul monologue.. once the opening number really hits with the entire cast coming at you.. pure musical theatre genius.

Rent - again.. good Tom Collins=lots of tears during the "I'll Cover You (Reprise)"

Avenue Q - yeah it's pretty bad when i can come up with a cry moment in this show. "There's a Fine, Fine Line" and "Fantasies Come True" kill me almost every single time.

Titanic - "Still". easily one of the best love songs to be on Broadway in the past 20 years.

anything you do let it come from you and it will be new.

Definitely Grey Gardens. Around the World and Another Winter.. kill me!

But also, I cried big emotional tears during the Boy From Oz. Go figure.

Ditto on Sunday in the Park with George.

I'm also a huge baby for Secret Garden and the musical (and play) of Cyrano (with Christopher Plummer). Each song of Secret Garden is the definition of beauty to me and Cyrano makes me bawl like a baby.

"No One is Alone" from Into the Woods. Well, at least in the original production (couldn't bring myself to see the revival).

Also, cried during "You'll Never Walk Alone" from Lincoln Center's Carousel. Funny because I actually hate that song, but that was one hell of a production.
