Yes! Too bad it looks like Lee Pace has a devil horn.
"I mean, sitting side by side with another man watching Patti LuPone play Rose in GYPSY on Broadway is essentially the equivalent of having hardcore sex." -Wanna Be A Foster.

It is returning next season along with the Grey's spinoff, "Private Practice."

Yes, both shows were picked-up and will be returning this fall. The reason it did not return was simply because it was a fill-in series, it didn't start during the regular fall schedule therefore it was only intended to less than half the normal schedule of a regular series. All of the intended 1st season episodes were completely filmed before the Writer's Strike occured. Other series which had short 1st seasons were THE OFFICE, LIPSTICK JUNGLE (which IS returning next season) and even THREE'S COMPANY.
The heading of the PUSHING DAISIES DVD should have given you more validation.
If it wasn't returning it would be titled: THE COMPLETE SERIES.

Huh???? The show premiered October 3rd, literally the week after the major ABC fall shows (UGLY BETTY, GREY'S ANATOMY, BROTHERS & SISTERS, etc) had begun, and during the week where many other new fall shows were premiering. The show was picked up for a full season and there were plans for the show to return after the strike (Bryan Fuller even gave a few hints about what was coming up for the characters after his cliff-hanger in the last pre-strike episode). Once it became obvious that the WGA strike would last longer than most anticipated, lots of shows realized they wouldn't be able to write new scripts and get them produced in time. PUSHING DAISIES was one of them since due to its production values, it wasn't possible for the show to get 4-5 episodes on the air after the strike like most shows did. No scripted series had a full season this past TV season, which is why many are getting a super-sized season this upcoming '08-'09 TV season.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I particularly enjoyed Chris Sieber, although he struck me as awfully short in that episode. How tall is he? I always feel like he should be about 6'4" or something, but I totally have no idea how tall he actually is. O_O
I wish this were being released sooner. I decided to not watch last year and wait for the DVD, so I'm hoping this gives me enough time to watch before next season.
