Join us for this week's edition of FRONT ROW CENTRE featuring music from the musicals of Toronto, Broadway and Hollywood.

On this week's program, Our "Fabulous Flop" this week is the Kander and Ebb musical STEEL PIER, which opened on Broadway 11 years ago this week.

Also our "Merman Moment" will feature a song from the original cast recording of GYPSY and a brief interview with Stephen Sondheim who talks about what it was like working with this legendary star.

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

This week on FRONT ROW CENTRE I'll be featuring the musicals of Lerner and Loewe. I'll have an interview with Marni Nixon who is in Toronto this month playing Mrs. Higgins in MY FAIR LADY, and I’ll be giving away some pairs of tickets to see the show along with copies of the 2001 London cast recording.

FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sunday mornings from 9 to 10 am on 103.9 PROUD-FM.
