I guess CMIYC is being put on the back burner?
and seriously, I think he enjoys working with the same crowd every time...

This is thrilling. It's a wonderful script and score! I remember the 1983 workshop as if it were yesterday.

Remind me to work with Jerry Mitchell.

He really takes care of people he knows!

With Clay Aiken in Spamalot, all of Broadway is singing a collective "There! Right! There!" -Me-

Here's the late Nancy LaMott singing the big eleven o'clock torch song from the second act of Going Hollywood.

In the 1983 workshop, it was sung by Christine Ebersole. In this reading it will be performed by Leslie Kritzer.

As Ethel used to sing, Mitchells have class...with a capital K!

Wow. Amazing song, fantastic performance of it. I'd really love to hear the Kritz sing it.

This sounds like a wonderful idea for musicalization. Always thought the source material was a bit similar to SINGING IN THE RAIN, but that was cinematic piece and perhaps this one could be a bit more theatrically oriented. With Jerry Mitchell at the help I am sure it will be.

PJ, who played Ebersole's current role (Helen) in the workshop you saw back in the 80s? Is it a bigger role than May? I am not familiar with the play at all so I'm just wondering.

"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"

Before everyone starts buying their tickets, it's only a presentation, there's no guarantee it will be a full scale mounting anytime soon.
