Someone posted this over on the Boston boards, but since not that many people read it I figured that I would repost it over here. In short, Bare will have a production in Boston this summer!
"The F.U.D.G.E. Theatre Company will be producing the Boston Premiere of "BARE: A POP OPERA" this coming summer!
Auditions will be held on Tues, April 15th and Friday, April 18th, with callbacks on April 19th in Wakefield, MA. Rehearsals will be held in the Wakefield/Reading area (about 15 minutes north of Boston) beginning June 1st.
Production will be done at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown on July 25, 26, 27, 31, and August 1, 2 of 2008.
For more information, visit www.fudgetheatre.com or e-mail info@fudgetheatre.com with any questions!"
Well, I'd love to go: but I have to admit: I'm not to optimistic about community theatre tackling this.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
F.U.D.G.E. is a fantastic theatre company. I was privilaged enough to work with their director on a production of Company recently. I'm sure it will be very well done.
