That was all mine (my mom had several on vinyl that I loved to death when I was little ~ everyone else my age was singing Sesame Street I was singing The Sound of Music, Camelot and so forth.), it's Annie (the OBCR). My parents gave it to me when I was...8? I can't remember, but it was a Christmas present.

The day after I saw the Les Mis Tenth Anniversary Concert on PBS I went out and bought the Les Mis Complete Symphonic recording

I saw the show about 1 month later, in NYC, and it's been non-stop since then

on cassette i got the beauty and the beast cast recording because i saw the tour in 1994 or 1995. Its the only playbill i think i dont have any more but i have the nice program. And then when i got my first cd player in like 1998 i got two cds: the backstreet boys and the revival of cabaret. Good times!

I got the Oklahoma! Movie Soundtrack when I was younger. Then when I was a little older, I got the Wicked Cast Recording.

When I was 8 or 9 and was getting into seeing shows (having just moved from Illinois to London) my grandmother got me the OBC's to Follies, Sweeney Todd and Sunday In The Park With George.

The first one I bought on my own was the City Of Angels OBC.

Annie.

I also remember taking the bus to our downtown area to buy the cast recording of, "On the 20th Century".

First ones checked out of the library: Oklahoma and Gypsy with Ethel Merman. I think I was 7 at the time, but still remember always going to the cast recording section in our local library.

I was literally listening to the Phantom of the Opera obc since I was born (my mom loved the music)
Then I got my own cassette and was deliriously happy.
And then I decided to be obsessed with Jesus Christ Superstar which I listened to every night before I went to sleep.

Yeah... I was an ALW kid.

Well I'd been given about 10 or so cast recordings, and had bought one. However, it wasn't until I really got into musicals that I purchased Mame, Dear World, and Mack and Mabel together.

My parents made the mistake of giving me ANNIE when I was 8, and I think they've been regretting it ever since.
