Why don't they just get Amy Sedaris as Jerri Blank to play Rizzo?
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)
Since WHEN has looking like a teenager been important for Grease? Yeah, 'cause Rosie O'Donnel looked like a Senior, and Stockard Channing could have passed for a Freshman.
Late twenties? Nancy McKeon is almost 42 according to IMDB.
And yes, the last revival was all over the map with ages, but like someone else said, this one is at least closer to high school age than is usual with Grease. She's definitely stand out.
Or, they could explain it by having her play it almost brain-dead stupid, like she repeated all 12 grades.

If they hired Amy Sedaris to play Rizzo in full-on Jerri Blank character mode, I would WALK to New York to see it, if that's what it took...
I would just die. Her adjusting her crotch during "Worse Things..." and making lewd comments toward Sandy ("I like the pole AND the hole") would just send me into orbit.
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

...Just kidding. I'd never cut anyone." -Tina Maddigan, 9/30/06, WS stage door
