Hey, I was wondering has gotten the Singer's Musical Theatre Anthology Volume for either tenor, bass, soprano, or mezzo.

If so, could you please post the song list? I'm curious.

wow, I am excited about these! I am curious how they made some of these non-solos into solos. One in particular is "What You Don't Know About Women" from City of Angels.

I actually already sing "What You Don't Know About Women" as a solo. It exists somewhere, as my voice teacher gave it to me a couple years ago.

It works quite well.

That list is fantastic! I'll have to pick up tenor and bass!

You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor

"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott

Several of the songs in the Baritone/Bass book are tenor songs that just don't go up very high. For instance, Arpad, who sings "Try Me" in She Loves Me is always performed by a tenor. Did the editors simply run out of good baritone songs, since real baritone roles are becoming a scarcity in new musicals?

It depends on the song itself. The song may be sung by a tenor character, but the tessitura is that of a baritone. In Volume 3 of the Baritone/Bass edition, a "Lost in Darkness" from Jekyll and Hyde is included. Jekyll/Hyde is most definitely a tenor role. But that particular song was included in the baritone book, because of the range of the song, and not because of the character's range.
