A Brits second time to NY#1
Posted: 1/8/08 at 2:50pm
Hello.
Has any one got any advice on places/attractions to go/see.
We've went to the main attractions last year. Statue of Liberty, MET, MOMA etc.
Coming at the end of Feb.
Thanks in advance.

It's hard to answer your question not knowing your tastes, so here's a link to a site that could be helpful.

We don't know. Now that the US is in a recession, we can't afford to go anywhere. Let us know what you get to see thanks to your strong Euros!

See a show (Of course), Top of the Rock is fun (Top of Rockefeller Center), Natural History Museum, explore Chinatown and Little Italy. That's always fun. Not sure what it is like in the winter. I always try to make it up to Strawberry Fields and see the Dakota. That building just amazes me. The Guggenheim. Walk around the village. Just some random thoughts.

Winter can be MISERABLY cold. When the cold winds blow the streets between the skyscrapers turn into wind tunnels. February is a good month to do things INDOORS. Theatre (naturally), museums, cabarets, etc.

This winter is supposed to be relatively mild this year. Of course, who knows when you are here! But I agree on Top of The Rock. There's also the NYCPass and New York Pass which includes admission to a number of great attractions for cheap.

How is the winter in the UK? I'm going to London the end of this month. Will I need to bring some USD to burn and keep warm, since it's useless over there anyway?
