was in the theater around 630 pm on friday and heard them testing the vocal tracks for the show! just wanted to let everyone know that all the background vocals are all pre-recorded.

Um, this has been discussed countless of times since the show opened on Broadway in October 2001. We all know about the background vocal tracks.

can someone give an example of what the background vocals are in any of the songs?

This has been known for quite a while...

They use "sweetner tracks" in addition to the live singing. The tracks are used during Vouloez Vous and the Megamix. The rest of the background vocals are live. Check out the backstage tour with Carolee and she shows the microphone booths.

Hahaha. None of the vocals are pre-recorded. I've been backstage many times and have many friends in the show and know for a fact that none of the vocals are pre-recorded.
