Saw the preview the other day when I went to see Sweeney for the second time.
It looks great and I can't wait for July!

Meryl looks like she's having so much fun!
I can't wait to see it.

The audience at Todd hissed the trailer.

It looks silly. All of the queens who are not going to Todd will go to MM because they think ABBA is fabulous. One ABBA song goes a long way.

Julie Walters and Christine Baranski are no where in the trailer.
Do you know what happens when you let Veal Prince Orloff sit in an oven too long?

What about the queens who'll go to both? Or the queens who don't think ABBA is fabulous, but enjoyed the stage version nontheless? Did they go see Sweeney? That's awesome that they hissed, though, because I'm sure it made you happy to be in a theatre with a bunch of other cranky people.

I think it looks fun! My dad is so excited about that I'm going to go visit him opening weekend so I can take him.

It can't get much better than Meryl Streep singing "Super Trouper".
Hurry up July!

I've had more conversations in the week since seeing Sweeney about Mamma Meryl than the Burton movie.

I'd love a Daddy Johnny/Mamma Meryl double feature in July!

When I was a young gay boy I never DREAMED when I was old there would be so many movie musicals! I'm so happy to be alive right now.

I agree Glebby - it looks terrific. How can it miss with that cast?

When I saw Sweeney, the crowd cheered the Mamma Mia trailer. While I hated Mamma Mia on stage, I'll probably go and see the movie.

The movie looks terrific. Maybe, it's just me, but when I see a show, a film, a tv movie, etc....... I want to enjoy myself. I'm not one of these people who sit there, with their arms crossed wanting to not have a good time.

I people choose to be negative, that's fine. But, don't rub that off on other people.

I've never thought much of Mamma Mia, but after I saw the trailer, it looks AMAZING. It makes me insanely happy every time I see it.
One time, Patti LuPone punched me in the face...

It was awesome.

I love Abba's music, but I remember not liking Mamma Mia when I saw it on Broadway a while ago. I just thought it was kinda stupid, to be honest. But I saw the trailer, and it was like I got slapped in the face. First of all, the cast alone is worth going to see it...Meryl AND Pierce AND Colin AND Dominic? In one movie? Singing? Plus, visually it really looks very well done, with all those clips of the dancing...looks good.

The people at Sweeney HISSED at it? Who hisses at movie trailers in a theater? That is so weird.
I mean, Denzel Washington? Gun to my head..of course.

I am in the "didn't care until I saw the trailer" camp. It looks like SO much FUN! And I want to be THERE. Those shots of the film look like heaven. Get me on a Greek Island NOW!
PEACE.
