O J Simpson book hits #1#1

"If I Did It" the pseudo confession by OJ Simpson hit #1 on Amazon.com today on the strength of pre-orders for the book. It also hit #1 on the Barnes & Noble website, despite the bookseller announcing it would not carry the book in it's stores.

This is just sick. What is wrong with people. Atleast the money is not going to OJ.

Hopefully, the people that are buying the books are just going to burn them.

People, who cares. People are curious about what this man could POSSIBLY say in this ludicrous book. Why do you care if people buy it? The whole world already knows he's guilty, and at least he's not making money off of it. So who cares?

It was #1 when I posted- it's bounced around a bit.

I understand peoples' morbid curiosity about public figures, but not with OJ. The fact that that slime ball got away with murder and his attitude following it makes me sick.

I'm sorry people are giving him this day in the sun.

I think people want to read how he says he did(n't) do it.

I think people need to find more valuable ways to spend their time.

Munk - I'll try and answer your question of why I care that people care.

By buying this book people are giving him a voice to openly discuss how he would've killed his children's mother. What kind of a father agrees to write and publish a book about how he would've killed his children's mother!? Supporting this book is a slap to the faces of his poor kids.
