I never had the chance to see it Off-Broadway, but I just wanted to say besides YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, I'm most excited for this show this season! From what I've heard of the music and songs, it sounds great :) Hope it does well, especially in the Richard Rodgers, its a bigger theatre than I thought they'd play in. So I hope it catches on, because it seems like it'll be an awesome show

I can't stop listening to the songs on their MySpace page, and I am very excited to see this show light up Broadway. I look forward to seeing its transformation from Off-Broadway to Broadway. I think it's going to be a hit!

anyone know where you can get some demos or anything that can be downloaded into my ipod of IN THE HEIGHTS? I just can't wait six months for a cast recording.
If they make the necessary changes to the show to make it of Broadway quality, then I will be excited to see it again. If it remains pretty much intact, then I won't be too thrilled and don't see it being a Best Musical contender. But most likely they will work out the kinks so I will see it again.
ok. i really can't wait. I can listen to the 2 songs on myspace, plus $96,000 on youtube from bryant park, plus some clips on the video montage of other songs. but I need more. any help anyone? I heard somewhere about a demo cd existing...
Apparently people have been selling the Demo CDs on eBay. And they've been going for very high bids! I haven't checked, but it's worth checking if you want to try to get one.

They were selling CD's during the Off Broadway run. I don't understand why they don't continue to sell them (through their website, itunes, local distributors, etc). Music is their best marketing tool. It's got the best lyrics I've heard since Spring Awakening. The book, not so much, but hopefully they've improved it. It's exciting to see some flavah on Broadway.
What happened to the talked about CD? is it on hold now so they can produce the full new Broadway show? I would have seen it but i was in the TKTS line and someone GAVE me ticket for Grey Gardens that night!!! It was the second time i got to see it. The guy gave me the seat because Embersole was 'off' that night and just didnt want to go. JEEZ i hope he aint reading this because there she was live on stage as i sat for free in the 4th row centre orchestra! If your reading this -sorry, but thanks! lol
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
the demo cd's have been selling on ebay for about $30. i just bought one because I can't wait months for the OBCR. there is only one person selling them and I can't find them anywhere else.
