This title had me thinking this thread could be about a lot of things, but oddly enough, an actual Dairy Queen wasn't one of them.

Great cause - but if I had anything from Dairy Queen I'd likely be in need of a hospital myself. re: Get a Dairy Queen Today!

Back before I became a Vegetarian Queen, I used to love the burgers at DQ.

Though unless you're a Vegan Queen you could still have a blizzard.

I'll think of the children all day, I just won't have Dairy Queen.

I blame the prayers. Jeebus made me lactose intolerant and subsequently the children suffer. God of mercy indeed!

The Dairy Queens up here don't even sell the burgers, do they? They're just the blizzards and ice cream and such, I thought.

I'd go get a blizzard if I even knew where one was in Manhattan. (Is there one in Manhattan?)

Oh how I miss Dairy Queen. We don't have those in DC, but the one from my childhood is still on the same street in Connecticut.

I wonder why they aren't in DC? I only live about 25 miles south of DC, and we have them. I'm not such a fan of DQ all by itself, but I do love Banana Split Blizzards! I'll be going.

Well I did my patriotic duty (?) and purchased a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Blizzard.

And I must sing the praises of the young gentleman who prepared my treat. The ice cream was at the perfect level and he also did not skimp on the amount of candy in the Blizzard. I had some candy in every single bite. The most superbly mixed Blizzard with a perfect ratio of candy to ice cream.

BRAVO!

I looked it up. I'd have to swim across the East River to get to a Dairy Queen, unfortunately. But I'm there in spirit.

"I been workin' here at the D.Q. for about, um... eight months? Seven? I don't know, somethin' like that, it's fun. Just do the cones... make sundaes, make Blizzards, 'n... put stuff on 'em, 'n... see a lot of people come in, a lot of people come to the D.Q... burgers... ice cream... anything, you know? Cokes... just drive in and get a Coke, if you're thirsty."

Or, you could swim across the Hudson.

OOOH...the chocolate covered strawberry blizzard is my favorite. I've been try to stay away from DQ ever since they built one directly on my way home from work. It was the perfect place to stop for a snack around 4:00. And very dangerous!

Doodle, I agree - such a hilarious and bizarre scene. Her cut monologue is disturbing while so funny.

Dairy Queen? I was not aware that Dame even liked milk.
