What did you think? What went wrong? Would you recommend doing this show?

It was a small children's show that had the misfortune of playing in a 3-level house on the other side of Broadway. It also had the misfortune of opening the same year as Hairspray.

Toad looks funny in a bathing suit.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

I LOVE the show. It's very smart and witty and a hell of a lot better than Tarzan or The Lion King.

But it's problem was that it opened the same year as Hairspray and charged too much money for being such a small show.

It was very entertaining and enjoyable. Mark Linn-Baker was fantastic. It deserved a longer run.

I bought the CD, because I've taught the books many times to lower readers. They are fun and better than the remedial stuff written for those kids. I think the music is absolutely delightful and I'm going to see it when the Children's Theatre does the third production of it this season. I can't wait. It premiered here, and the CTC does exquisite work, so it will be nice to see it.

It seemed to be more of a children's show rather than a family show that a wide range of people would enjoy, from young children to older couples. People of many ages enjoy shows like Beauty and the Beast and Lion King because they are familiar with the stories. When you hear the title "A Year With Frog and Toad," do you think that sounds like something the average tourist would see? No. Why would they pay top dollar to see that when there are bigger spectacles to see that everyone could enjoy for the same price?

It should've opened in a smaller theater off-Broadway and cut its ticket prices in half of what the normal price was.

I'm still waiting for the DVD.

I loved it. Sad to see it close but not unexpected.

Saw several of the songs performed at a state Thespian festival. They were all very cute and fun for the audience.

My school did a marvelous production of this show. It had 1920s themed costumes, and was actually quite sophisticated. Depending on the level of acting, it can be enjoyed by both adults and children (our mouse was anorexic and a ´´workout-aholic´´)! We toured around NYC and were very well received. We had the cast double as onstage percussion, it was really great.

I was involved in this play and it was one of the best experiences I have had in my time as an actor. It may have only been because our technical theatre was AMAZING!!!

I've never seen the show before, but I adore the cast recording.

My school performed "Getta Loada Toad (Toad Looks Funny in a Bathing Suit)" at competition a couple years back and it was by far one of the best numbers I've ever had the privilege of performing at competition, and I've done my fair share. The audience reactions are priceless and inspiring. I would love to do this show, if only to see Snail deliver that letter every show re: Your feelings about 'A Year With Frog and Toad'
