That is a good question. I don't stagedoor very often, but I did for The Apple Tree. I know that Kristin had several visitors and signed autographs for them backstage. I thought it was funny that Kristin and Marc brought out their dogs. 
I guess they were backstage for the day. Most of the actors seems to head home pretty quickly. I don't blame them.
So, that was the Drowsy Chaperone. Oh, I love it so much. I know it's not a perfect show...but it does what a musical is supposed to do. It takes you to another world, and it gives you a little tune to carry with you in your head for when you're feeling blue. Ya know?

Posted: 4/14/07 at 7:48pm4 hours? Maybe the principals in Les Mis are there for 4 hours, but I mean, most call times are 30 or 45, so, the most they should be there is 3, 3 and a half.

If it's an evening show - Usually everyone and everything clears out pretty fast because of Union rules, the theater has to be completely shut down and blacked out by a certain hour.
If it's a matinee - any number of things, sometimes actors/actresses take naps (if they have their own dressing room that is), sometimes actors stay in their dressing rooms and order in, sometimes they go out.. you get the idea.

Posted: 4/14/07 at 9:35pmBackstage is not special and quite boring. People dressed in black hanging up costumes, actors getting out of costumes and going home. Nothing special at all.
