So, today me, my mom, and my sister went in to try for rush at Jersey Boys and when we got to the train station my sister realized she forgot her id at home. So, basically what we did was we were going to ask someone there if they were getting one ticket with their id and if they could perhaps buy her a ticket.

We got to the theatre around 7am and there were already three people there, who at first I thought were just killing time and waiting for someone or something, but when we got there I left for a couple of minutes and when I got back apparently my sister asked the three if they could let us get our mom a ticket for the show to which the girl said rudely, "No."

So, fast forward to around 11am where I found out that the box office opens at 12pm(I had always thought it was 11am that they opened on Sundays). So, basically me and my sister got our rush seats and our mom stood for SRO and she got it. While we were waiting for her, we hung out at the flea market, I picked up a copy of the Broadway yearbook and then we went back and waited for her.

The show, as usual was fantastic. Bobby was out and John Leone was in and he was alright as Nick Massi, Peter Gregus was also out and Donnie Kehr was in for him and Matthew Scott was in for Donnie. John sounded alot better than he must have when he was sick, some of his high notes sound alitte rough but all in all, he sounded and looked alot better than he must have a while ago. At the end of Can't Take My Eyes Off You, me and my sister got up to give John a standing ovation and I was kinda hoping he'd look over at us.

The stage door was packed as usual and it didn't get really crazy until Christian got out and then this one guy like started shoving to get to him, so I basically had to get out to somewhere that was more open(I'm very claustrophobic). Daniel, Michael, and John followed afterwards. Michael signed my copy of his cd and mentioned that he's planning a concert soon, I got a handshake from Christian, who was just in a fantastic mood, I honestly don't think I saw that grin he had on his face leave it.

I had a really nice conversation with Daniel. I told him I used Cry For Me for an audition and he just had this surprised look on his face and we just went from there for a bit. As I waited for John, I overheard him say that the deal with ABC is that he'll be in a drama series AND, I emphasize on the AND, he said that wit the deal he doesn't see any reason NOT to also still be at Jersey Boys. So, we talked for a bit also and I want to say this cause I asked him if that's him on myspace and he said that it is and sometimes it's his girlfriend, Allison. My sister also gave John a very nice tip about his Acid Reflux which is basically to chew more gum(I forget exactly what it does but I think that it helps reduce the acid).

So, all in all we had another fantastic day at Jersey Boys and on the side the three that were ahead of us, bought five tickets and I assumed that they were coming back with two of their friends. No one who was on the rush line that were near me and my sister including us saw them at the show. So, basically we're on the assumption that they bought the tickets and basically scalped them, and you know it's not like I didn't expect that cause even though I know the saying about judging a book by its cover, but literally they didn't seem like the kind who would go for a Broadway show. They seemed more the kind who trashed and made fun of the ones who enjoy theatre and call them gay and say that Broadway's gay, but hey who knows. One of the other thoughts going through my head was that they were going to show up late and maybe make awhole lot of fuss during the show.

Glad you had a good time and that John is feeling better! Hope to see it again once I return home.

Arghh! Grammar pet peeve #1: your vs you're. "Your" is a possessive pronoun. "You're" is the contraction of "you are." <<

Thanks for the detailed review, worrell. How many times have you seen the show? I'm really glad to hear that John is feeling much better now, Christian was in a great mood, etc.!

It was our 5th time seeing it and I believe the reason that Christian was in such a good mood was cause I believe his wife went into labor cause I overheard him saying to someone that his wife was in the hospital and I think I heard him say that her water broke.

I forgot this but my sister bought a card for Christian and his wife along with a card that she was going to give to Bobby and his wife for their baby as well but since he wasn't there she gave only Christian his card and now I didn't see it cause I moved to a more spacious place cause I got claustrophobic and she said that when she gave it to him, he hugged her.

How was Matt Scott yesterday? I have heard nothing but wonderful things about him.

I overheard him say that the deal with ABC is that he'll be in a drama series

Maybe I read this wrong, but does this mean they found a show for him? I'm just glad they aren't goanna make him host of "The New Newlywed Game" [remember that rumor?].

I'm glad you enjoyed the show. I have seen it 3 times and all of the guys are wonderful and so sweet. The last time I saw the show was on September 3 and while Christian and I were posing together for a picture I told him that my mom (who was taking the picture) loved him. He then said "Come here Mom" and gave her a hug and a kiss. So cute.

"Maybe I read this wrong, but does this mean they found a show for him? I'm just glad they aren't goanna make him host of "The New Newlywed Game" [remember that rumor?]."

Two things, one someone asked John about the ABC deal and he said that they are looking for a project for him to do and he said it would most likely be a drama and not a sitcom. The other thing, where did the rumor about him as host of The Newlywed Game come from?

Matthew Scott was great in some roles that are usually played by Donnie, but I really didn't like him as Norm Waxman. I really liked Donnie as Bob Crewe and thought he was really funny, not as funny as Peter, but still funny. It's kinda like with John and Michael, I love both as Frankie Valli, but I like John more. I love both Donnie and Peter as Bob Crewe, but I like Peter more.

Actually, chewing gum makes your acid reflux WORSE and can cause a greater risk of developing stomach ulcers.

Great review. It's to great hear that Christian is happy, but of course, who wouldn't be with a new baby?

I also agree, it's great to hear that John's better now. re: Jersey Boys-9/24

Great review Josh!

I think that is great that Teri ( that is your sisters name right?) gave Christian a card.

When did they have the baby?

A doctor told my sister that it helps it.

Yes, her name is Teri and I think they had the baby. I didn't really ask him, but I overheard him say that her water broke, so I'm assuming that the baby is either on the way or came already.

Yeah I had thought they were due in Nov as well.

He hasn't posted anything on his blog, you would think he would.

When I talked to Christian at the flea market I asked him about how his wife was doing. He said that her water had broken, but that everything was perfectly fine and that the baby needed some more time to (his exact words) 'cook'.

"Actually, chewing gum makes your acid reflux WORSE and can cause a greater risk of developing stomach ulcers."

No, it doesn't. Chewing gum stimulates the production of more bicarbonate-containing saliva and increases the rate of swallowing. After the saliva is swallowed, it neutralizes acid in the esophagus. In effect, chewing gum exaggerates the normal process that neutralizes acid in the esophagus.

The line on Sunday I think didn't get full unti around 9:30-10:00ish. I got there around 7am and there was already 3 people ahead of me(who everyone who was on the line didn't see at the show and believes scalped the rush tickets), and the next set of people didn't show up until I wanna say 8:30.

Thank you Fosse76, so much for defending that statement. I forgot how it helps, my mom told me(she's a nurse) but I forgot and asked her again last night and she mentioned it was in a recent article in AMA. So, anyone who says that chewing gum worsens acid reflux is wrong.
