I have been in the city for a couple days and wanted to stop by and see Jenn in Tarzan, but saw Wedding Singer and couldnt get tickets for the evening preformance, so decided just to stage door and speak to her. I printed out the picture of her and I from when I first saw All Shook Up back in June. I wrote her a note with my address on it and things for her maybe send me things back.
So I get to the stage door--- late for some odd reason, apparently the show started late, I was scared she came out already. The actors came out slowly. Got Josh Strickland's autograph, very nice guy. He takes fans cameras and poses them in the air and takes the picture for them. Jenn came out with him.
She signed my CD and I handed the small white piece of paper for her to her and said "That's for you." and she smiled and said "Oh thank you! I'll keep it and read it later, but thank you." Then I wanted a picture but couldnt get one due to the large crowd, so I slightly followed her to the side where she began to talk to people she knew about dance class and these two fellow actresses sharing an appartment. I didnt want to disturb her so I waited paitently. Then she began to move down the block and I didnt wanna miss her and I followed her calling out low "Jenn! Jenn!". She turned and I said "May I get a picture" and she went "Oh of course! I wannna find you're thing, I didnt look at it yet" and I went on to say "I loved All Shook Up." and she smiled and said "Oh I am so glad you did. I loved it too." and I said "I got to see it two times, once with you and then when I went back you were out." and she went "Vacation time." and I said "Yes, right before it closed. It must have sucked to come back and have it close" and she said "Oh I know right, I come back from vacation and suddenly were closing." and then she looked at my picture and smiled and said that her fiancee misses her short hair from the show. She told me she'd write me back and thought she recongized me from writing before, but when I tried writing it got sent back with insuffient postage. We took my picture- two in face and I got a hug.
I second that! She was so nice when I stage door-ed Tarzan during previews! She took a picture with me, and even though she was surrounded by other fans, she took time to chat with me for a time! I just love her!
That's really great that you met her. She seemed to have so much stage presence when I saw her in Tarzan. Then, I saw the little "Backstage at Tarzan" thing and saw what a funny person she is off-stage too. Her and Josh are so cute! I'm glad you had fun meeting her, and she has fun onstage and off. I didn't know she's getting married!
"I'm thinking about how if you took the W in
answer, and the H in ghost, and the extra A in aardvark, and the T in listen, you could keep saying WHAT but no one would ever hear you because the whole word would be silent."

Jenn is a diva, I love her, but it sounds a little bit like you stalk her though?
"People have their opinions and that doesn't mean that their opinions are wrong or right. I just take it with a grain of salt because opinions are like as*holes, everyone has one".

Heh, I saw you tonight Clumsy. I was at the DRS stage door and I saw Jenn right by posing for pics and stuff with a couple of people.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
Hmm, I didn't see your clothes. It wasn't just you right? I'm not sure which one you were. Unless it was just you, and other people who I thought were with you weren't, then I know how you are.
I was standing next to and chilling with my pal, the cop imitating Josh/Tarzan. He's starting to convince me to go into the field, I want a job where I get to stand around and imitate Broadway actors...

I saw her in the Fame tour, at the very very beginning. She and Gavin Creel both blew me away completely. I knew/ hoped they were going places. AND BOY, DID THEY!
When my family saw her in the ensemble of Hairspray, we told her what big fans of hers we'd been since Fame. Then at All Shook Up, we told her again! She's always so sweet. At Tarzan, we couldn't bring ourselves to talk to her because we hated the show so much... I really hope her next project is wonderful.
