I know their are a million threads on this already but I don't feel like looking throught all of them. What is an easy lotto or rush to win? I've had luck with rent & Q. I'm looking for something that I can enter and guarantee a ticket. If their aren't enought people do they still do lotto or do they give everyone tickets? Also what is DRS and Hairspray about?
Rent

They give away 16 seats I believe, all in the boxes. Its pretty easy, I guess. I did it on a Sunday and was the 3rd name called, not sure about a Friday or Saturday. I imagine it is a lot more crowded though
I have to be the only one who's lost DRS every time I've done it.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

4 people! that's insane! i can't believe it.....well i personally though DRS was ehh (norbert wasn't there lol), so maybe my beliefs have been shown lol
I went to the DRS lottery and lost...of course, it was a Saturday night the week before John Lithgow left.

Hairspray- when I went last year, they didnt even have a lottery for the 2pm show I went to, they just sold them, but upon leaving the show, they were setting up for a lottery for the 8pm show.
DRS- My aunt won it, but sadly we were distracted by winning Avenue Q and couldnt collect the tickets, but eventually saw the show which was pretty hysterical.
Eh...not so much, although of course it depends on when you go. Two weeks ago I went to a Saturday matinee and a Wednesday matinee within a few days of each other. The Wednesday matinee was indeed pretty easy--a crowd of maybe 45 (for 34 seats), so the odds are definitely in your favor at those shows. However, I'd say there were easily 75-80 people for the Saturday matinee, maybe more, and of course you're always competing with more people than you actually see in the crowd, so I'd say I was up against 100+ people for that lotto.
So yeah, it can be pretty easy at shows like Wednesday matinees, but they still have a pretty big turnout for more popular showtimes.

You can never be guaranteed, alas the reason it's a lotto.

I was at Rent Monday night and it was very crowded. We were a group of 7 people trying and only 1 of us won. Hairspray has gotten a lot more crowded recently.
I tried Rent on Saturday matinee, as well as a Sunday show. Won both times.
Well yeah, I won that Saturday matinee mentioned, but the odds were definitely against me so I wouldn't call it in easy lotto. In fact, I lost the Wednesday matinee, which I called a very easy lotto because there were so few people (I eventually got tickets when I waited around). But somebody's gotta win and somebody's gotta lose--and I think with the crowds at Rent lottos recently, you're generally more likely to lose at most performances.

RENT has definitely gotten a lot harder during the summer. I tried last Tuesday and lost after winning like 4 times in a row. There were at least 100 people there. Once all the college kids go back to school, it will probably die down a bit.
I live at Broadway lottos! HAHA! Two weeks ago I wont the RENT lotto. THere was a good amount of people there, about 70. That was the first time I had ever done RENT. Then, last friday, we did Hairspray and there were about 20 or 30 people there. We won though. The first time we tried, we lost. But, won the second time. Tonight, I am going in with a few friends and trying Rent, DRS, and then Drowsy Chaperone. Wish me luck!
