I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

"And when Idina Menzel is singing, I'm always slightly worried that her teeth are going to jump out of her mouth and chase me." - Schmerg_the_Impaler
BY JUPITER - would be great to have on CD but tthe singers in this production are not the greatest!
SAY, DARLING - nice album but it has little to do with how teh songs are presented in the play.
I would love to get the OBC of ANYA on CD. I have always loved the lush orchestrations on that one. (THE ANASTASIA AFFAIRE doesn't really count.)
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks." Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

I think it's obvious that the people on this board just love to b*tch about bryan's posts, and if he stopped posting, they would be at a loss. If anyone truly wanted his posts to stop, they would not comment on them and let them slowly but steadily drift to page 48,472,940 of the board.
Kudos, bryan. You have more fans on this board than anybody else, and it's not even for a Broadway profession, but rather for incessant nonsensical posts and being an easy target for criticism.
"It's not for sissies, contrary to popular belief." - Tommy Tune, on musical theatre.
I'd love recordings to be made of old pro's Shows that didn't reach Broadway: 1)The Visit (Kander&Bbb), 2) Over&Over (Kander&Ebb), 3) Ostrovsky (Cy Coleman), 4)Exactly like you (Cy Coleman) 5)The Night they raided Minsky's (Charles Strouse) and stuff like that...
I'd go with the Kander & Ebb's mentioned and Hamlisch/Ashman's Smile my latest obsession...
What is it with projects named Smile, There's Wilson/Parks' SMiLE with a thirty seven year gestation period and Hamlisch/Ashmans' Smile which i've seen called the great lost American Musical originally conceived in the early eighties...
