Randal Keith as Valjean = amazing. I don't have my Playbill with me (its still in the car), and I can't remember any names, but I will say the cast was uniformly stellar, not a weak link. My personal standouts were Eponine and Marius. In case you were wondering, there was an understudy for Cosette, as well as two or three ensemble members.
Easily the best national tour (of any show) I've ever seen. What a wonderful way to lose my Les Mis virginity .
I would write more, but I'm extremely tired (thanks to the T... but thats a different topic).
ETA: One thing that I REALLY liked about the show was the staging. I loved the rotating stage!

A friend of mine saw both Cosette understudies in one weekend when the regular Cosette was on leave, and she really liked both of them. (I haven't seen either, but saw both their predecessors.) Good to hear!

i saw it tonight as well. I am not a fan of the show. I saw it on broadway years ago and i didn't care for it. Since it was in town, i decided to give it a second chance. I still don't care for it. I find the music forgetable and the plot very slow at times. However not based on my liking of the show, the production is in great shape. Most of the acting was great especially Valjean, the thernadiers, eponine and Marius. The set gorgeous and the costumes gorgous as well. So if you are a fan you will enjoy the show very much. Oh and if you do student rush get there early!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

zippy -- I looked for you, but I didn't see you! Where were you in the massive student rush line? What time did you get there?
The Broadway in Boston website said that student rush ticket availability was not likely, so I got there early (6:15, tickets went on sale at 7), and was like #3 in line. I got a seat in the back of the orchestra, off the the left. Not a bad seat, really.
Swifty -- this is being billed as the final Boston engagement. Whether they'll go back out on tour after Broadway, who knows, but its being billed like that.

i agree, jean valjean (randal keith) was AMAZING...he completely stole the show. his "bring him home" and "who am i?" were just so good. stand outs for me were eponine (melissa lyons), marius (adam jacobs), and the thenardiers (jennifer butt and fabio polanco). gavroche (austyn myers) was also very good, so talented. javert (robert hunt) was alright, not bad but ive seen better. bostons opera house was perfect for the show, and the set and staging was just fantastic. hopefully this isnt the last boston engagement, it is a truly beautiful show
I bought tickets today for tomorrow. I'm not gonna have time to do the student rush cos I have an audition at BoCo tomorrow so I paid $75 but it's so worth it!
Thanks for the link, timote. What did you think of Victor Wallace? :) I agree with you on Adam Jacobs' nasal vowels -- but I didn't like him that much as Marius. Still, fun read. Thanks!
