Sorry..I don't know what is up with my post? It just wasn't going through for some reason...here is try number three. Don't you just love technology sometimes?
I was wondering if anyone still has the link for that rather long "Mary Poppins" video show on some kind of British Telelon show? I saw the one on broadwayworld but wanted to check that one out again. I am very excited about finally getting to see this show when it begins in NYC.
I hunted a little bit for it, but I can't find anything. Do you have a more specific description?
"`I grow old... I grow old... I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.` What does that mean, Mr. Marlowe?"
"Not a bloody thing. It just sounds good."
He smiled. "That is from the `Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock.` Here's another one. `In the room women come and go/Talking of Michael Angelo.' Does that suggest anything to you, sir?"
"Yeah -- it suggests to me that the guy didn't know very much about women."
"My sentiments exactly, sir. Nonetheless I admire T. S. Eliot very much."
"Did you say, 'nonetheless'?"
- The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler
No sorry...thanks for looking. I remember seeing it months ago and now I just can't seem to hunt it down. It started with "Practically Perfect" and went into "Super....etc". It was a nice long segment. Like I said, I think they were performing on some sort of British telethon.
Thanks so much...I just couldn't find it. I appreciate you looking. Now, for some reason I am getting no picture on my Windows Media Player just sound.
