Yesterday's matinee of Women in White: Kaye Ballard and friends in the lobby. Out gal Kaye looking absolutely wonderful, silverly blond hair, beautifully dressed replete with stunning scarf, smiling and making small talk with fans. I would've given anything if the cast of the dreadful WIW would've yielded the stage and let us spend a couple of hours with the fabulous Miss Ballard.

Yup. She was in that televison show back in the late 60's. She also has quite a resume of Broadway shows: CARNIVAL, SO LONG 174th STREET, MOLLY, THE APPLE TREE, as well as FOLLIES at the Paper Mill. Her cabaret act at Maxim's a few years ago was a joy

I met her at the bar during intermission at Taboo, Jan 2004. We had a drink together and talked, it was such an amazing few minutes. After the show, at stage door, she came up to me to tell me it was nice meeting me !!! Great talent,Great Lady Happy Belated Birthday Kaye !
My dream is to see her in a musical before I (or she) die. I'm still pissed that the original tour of "Full Monty" shuttered.
"A coherent existance after so many years of muddle" - Desiree' Armfelt, A Little Night Music
"Life keeps happening everyday, Say Yes" - 70, Girls, 70
"Life is what you do while you're waiting to die" - Zorba
Did anyone else see the episode of Family Guy when Peter goes off on a tangent something like this, "I'm working up something real special, and I don't mean special like the disabled boy next door, I mean like special K. And with that, whatever happened to Kaye Ballard? You know if you had a cold and said Ballard it would soung like mallard..."
I'm sorry, I'm obsessed with that show...
Sponsor me as I walk the Philadelphia AIDS Walk - Sunday, October 16, 2011. Many of our friends, family and neighbors are in desperate need of health care services and other life-saving programs, but with cutbacks in government dollars , these programs are often under-funded. Now, more than ever, your donations are needed to support organizations providing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, counseling and testing and care services for people living with HIV/AIDS.

She was great as "Jeanette" in "The Full Monty". Before that, the last thing I remember her in was Salome in "The Robber Bridegroom" - she was great in that too! (I think that is out somewhere on DVD - I know it was proshot, for showtime I believe.

I saw her do CHICAGO with Bebe Neuwirth and Juliet Prowse...this was before the Broadway Revival.
Kaye Ballard is the REAL DEAL. A musical theatre actress who knows her business. If you ever get a chance to see her do anything on stage, don't hesitate!
