This thread is for those opinions that you KNOW you're in the minority for holding. I'll go first.

-Moulin Rouge was too long and kinda terrible.
-Beyonce and Jamie Foxx belong nowhere near the Dreamgirls movie.
-I've seen Wicked and eh, I don't get the big deal.

I hated In My Life, but it was the most original musical I've seen in about five years.

I enjoyed In My Life more than Brooklyn and Good Vibrations, but not more than Lennon.

Idina Menzel and Eden Espinosa have the same amount of talent, and are just as special as everyone else on Broadway.

I'm a 34 year old, educated, rational, and savvy woman and dammit if I didn't love "Wicked".

I think 14 year olds have as much a right as anyone to post their opinions.

I have a feeling my list is way too long. However, I will go with an oldie but goodie... I think Shoshana Bean blows!

- There was never any reason to think the film version of Rent wouldn't be tremendously flawed.
- The Broadway production of Chicago might benefit from more glamorous sets and costumes.
- After Dreamgirls, Hollywood should stop adapting Broadway shows for the screen and just make Jason Robert Brown and other talents write musicals directly for the screen.
- It's wrong for a major actor, director or writer to use message boards to push his/her agenda and guilt other people out of expressing their opinions.
- Chris O'Donnell is a cute, good actor.

EDIT: I've actually been told by PM that my opinions (especially the ones regarding Rent) aren't unpopular. Oh well.

Light in the Piazza is boring. It's a pretentious musical.

On stage, Rent features the worst direction I have ever seen on or off Broadway.

Shoshana Bean's singing gives me a headache. No I'm not kidding, or trying to be a jerk.

I like Cats.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

I hate Moulin Rouge and I don't think Nicole Kidman should sing. Also I HATE the sound of Music. I think that "Galinda" is a pain in the rear and that Emmy Rossum's only line in the POTO movie is whispering "He's there, the Phantom of the Opera", which is beyond irritating. I think she was severly miscast.

Oh, and I think Heather Headly (spelling?) enunciates a bit too much, especially on the Aida cast recording.

- CHICAGO the movie was a horrible let down!!
- Vanessa Williams is a talented actress in most (but not all) roles she has done on Broadway
- SPAMALOT is a little over-rated
- DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES is a funny show in that it is so stupid.

more later... probably.

I liked Patti LuPone in the concert of Sweeney Todd.

I think Rent is good. Not bad, not great. Just good.

I adore Spamalot. I thought it was hilarious, and I still listen to the cast recording reasonably often. I'm not saying it's an extraordinary piece of theatre, but I love it.

The recording of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels did very little for me. I just didn't laugh as much as I'd hoped I would.

Sherie Rene Scott's voice grates on me.

... is this the part where I get chased by an angry mob?

Urinetown is NOT funny.

Where to start?

Sweet Smell of Success was a very entertaining musical, with a sound and style all its own.

Brooklyn was a charming and under appreciated musical with a very good score and superb performances.

The current production of “Sweeney Todd” was enormously self-indulgent and essentially empty. A current example of the emperor's new clothes.

"A Class Act" was one of the most beautifully staged and emotionally wrenching musicals I have ever seen. It does have a cult following however.

Just my opinions, I may be wrong.

TWOGAAB "A Class Act" will never die!
