Has anyone heard ANYTHING? You would think something would be out by now! I guess no one has seen the trailer in the previews of 40 Year Old Virgin, cause I'm sure someone would have said something. If anyone has heard anything, please post!

Universal has a number of new releases coming up, they're probably just pacing them to get the most mileage.

I've heard that screenings in CA have not been met with kind responses. Perhaps people are realizing that this production is not the masterpiece it was thought to be.

From a buddy of mine who's a writer in L.A.

Some people on IMDB claim to have seen it tonight in Edgewater, NJ. According to them, it was great and the audience ate it up.

The catch is that these posters 1) posted on a thread about CA reviews to the contrary and 2) are intent upon boosting the film's Oscar prospects.

I smell fanboys and studio plants.

For the record (and I'm working on the movie) the preview tonight in New Jersey was the first preview of "The Producers", there have been no sneak previews anywhere else. I don't know who said they saw the movie in L.A., but it wasn't at a sneak preview. Where could I find the thread you're talking about?

Behind the fake tinsel of Broadway is real tinsel.

Maybe Princeton78 can find out from his buddy where it was supposed to have played.

Yay - that was a great review! I was looking forward to hearing from people who were not familiar with the Broadway show, so this was perfect for me. Glad it's already receiving positive responses.

Well the word about Uma seems great so far! But the poster on IMDB feels she was dubbed on her belting. But who knows yet?

It seems like it's going to be very close to the stage show, so that makes me very happy.

I can't wait.
