Welcome to Wing Music "Hi, I am Wing! I immigrated to New Zealand with my family about ten years ago from Hong Kong. I have been learning singing in New Zealand and I do performances in Rest Homes and Hospitals and occasionally promotional concerts as I go along. I released my first CD Phantom Of The Opera and got a grant from the Manukau City Council for promotion. Then I released I Could Have Danced All Night and The Sound Of Music. My latest CDs are called "Wing Sings The Carpenters" and "Wing Sings All your favourites". I have worked hard and I hope you have all found I am improving. Thank you for all who supports me helping me very much as I go along. Thank you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thanks to a friend's LiveJournal (thanks Robbie!) I found this, and I'm afraid to comment on it. It's an Asian-American singer performing your favorite showtunes! Take a listen, and share your thoughts! Personally, I think it's very funny, but then I felt guilty for thinking so. I dunno, maybe it working in H.R. for so long... -david. God I hate to say this...but as I started to play the first song, one of my dogs RAN like a bat out of hell, out of the room! And then refused to come back into the bedroom! I swear to God!
This is also the dog who watched the Tony's the year ITW did their performance and started barking and growling like crazy when Milky White appeared on the screen.
addition to the serenity prayer:
Help me hide the bodies of the people I had to kill because they pissed me off!!! :-)
When did Puccini's "O Mia Babino Caro" become a Christmas Carol? It's an aria about a girl who wants to drown herself in the Arno River if her father won't give his consent to her marriage. Really festive, wouldn't you say?
To listen to this woman sing is like listening to a cat shriek while being disemboweled.
Look out Christy Lane, Nana Mouskouri and Del Rubio triplets, there's a new girl in town.
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
Oh my god!!! Where ever did you find this? It is HYSTERICAL!! I HAVE to get this for my brother for Christmas. I wonder if Footlight has it? Way to go David! Thanks for a wonderful Xmas gem and what can I say about Phantom- Genius!!!
If the Weissler's were truly savvy they'd snatch up Wing immediately to replace Bernadette in GYPSY. I'm envisioning her take on "Rose's Turn" right now!
That is the most hysterical thing I have ever heard. This woman could sell millions of cd's just based on people wanting to goof on her. She could gain the same cult status as the Del Rubio Triplets and that round faced Irish singer...I can't remember her name but, they used to advertise her cd's on crappy cable channels late at night like they do Christie Lane. Maybe Wing could be Evita in teh New Zealand cast revival. She does a mean "Don't Cry For Me Argentina".
I can't stop listening to it. It's like a bad car accident, you don't want to gawk, it repulses you but you can't help yourself. I wish there were more samples. Guess I'll just have to buy her cd's. This finishes up my Christmas shopping.
Oh Please Father in Heaven, bring her to our shores,let her grace our Rest Homes and Hospitals, please sweet Lord, oh and why not Wing as Audrey I or II? Or in Wicked, as wicked she is!
You've got to spread joy up to the maximum
Bring gloom down to the minimum
Have faith or pandemonium's
Liable to walk upon the scene
I went to her website to order my copies. Based upon the e-mail that I got back in repsonse, the CDs are $10 US each with $5 US shipping and handling for each. They accept varioys forms or payment, including Paypal.
Horror of horrors! You can order the entire series!
See, mark my words, this woman will become a success and will eventually become a new gay icon based on the fact that she is so bad.
BTW David, don't feel guilty for wanting to laugh at her. A bad voice is a bad voice no matter what the singers nationality. After all, everyone's a riddle bit lacist
Who knew she'd find such a following here!! I wonder if she takes herself seriously or if this is just some funny stunt. My fear is it's the former!! :) david.
