Yeah, I'm watching Eloise at Christmastime (basically because Gavin Creel is in it) re: re: re: Hugh Jackman, so I'll catch the rerun of Oklahoma.

Some aren't as fortunate to have DVD players. I just finished watching it. It ran 4 hours with 4 breaks. They are not replaying it in Ohio. That would be back to back...

I watched a bit of it after I came in from the new Russel Crowe film...OKLAHOMA! is about 2.5 hours long. As programmed by WNET, the NYC public television station, the show was scheduled to run from 7pm to 11pm. 4 hours! That's 1.5 hours of hard-core fund raising. Buying or renting the DVD is a much much better option.

Well I just loved this production. I am now a diehard core Hugh Jackman fan. I can't wait to see him in The Boy From Oz. Updated On: 11/23/03 at 11:05 PM

Ya. 4 hours was way too long! They wanted you to pledge $90 for the cast recording, $125 for 2-set DVD or VHS, or $200 for DVD/VHS and the cast recording. Do these public stations really need that much money to keep the shows running???

See...now I missed Justin Bohon and Jessica Boevers in this and the guy who played Ali Hakim (this guy sounded like Jackie Mason a bit to me!). But Hugh made it worth the 4 hrs. And let me just saythat I would watch Hugh for 4 hours any day!

FYI- Hugh Jackman will be the next James Bond. I know it has nothing to do with broadway; I was just letting the ones that care know. :)

Not only did I miss Justin Bohon and Jessica Boevers, but I really missed TSMrW!!!!! Yes, Hugh Jackman was fine as Curley, but so was Patrick, and he sang circles around Hugh. Besides, I think TSMrW has a better torso than Hugh!

Aunt Eller in this production was the wonderful Maureen Lipman who is now Mrs Meers in Thoroughly Modern Millie in London.
