"Noah, someday we'll talk again. But there's things we'll never say. That sorrow deep inside you. It inside me, too. And it never go away. You be okay. You'll learn how to lose things..."
Not surprised, though. AVE Q seemed like it deserved it. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! WICKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

Saw Wicked twice loved it!! But there wasomething about Ave Q! That just made me WANT this show to win!! It is so great to see that they voted their HEARTS!! B
"All I ask of you is one thing: please don't be cynical. I hate cynicism -- it's my least favorite quality and it doesn't lead anywhere. Nobody in life gets exactly what they thought they were going to get. But if you work really hard and you're kind, amazing things will happen."

I saw Avenue Q on its first performace ever on Broadway last summer. It was an amazing night, and afterward I said mark my words: This show will win Best Musical next year!! I was right:)
Oh. My. Goodness. That was amazing. And great. And wonderful. And my parents completely didn't understand what I was squealing about. But...yes...this is what people get, what we all get, for assuming the big money always wins.
I thought WICKED had it also. I mean, look what happened a few years ago when MILLIE beat out the more deserving URINETOWN. I figured the same would have happened tonight. I'm SO glad it didn't!

Maybe my parents will take me to it now! (hope hope)
