One week only -- my day has been made. Rox will be playing Velma next week - June 3rd through 8th! Go see her, she's wonderful. Her and Tracy as Velma and Roxie will make you fall in love with Chicago all over again!!!!

I would love to see Foxy Roxy play Velma, alas Im in TX, and isnt it hard to fall out of love with Chicago? Well maybe not the movie, but live, I think it would be hard to fall out of love with it.

It *is* somewhat hard to fall out of love with the stage show -- I have a feeling it's gonna turn into the Cats of 2003 now though... not to put a damper on my happy HAPPY topic though!
Roxane as Velma.... Tracy as Roxie... I think I might suffer heart failure from the pure excitement of it.
CJR, who is a loser and knows it!

It all depends what kind of connection you have -- Here at work because there are so many of us on the same server at the same time, it's pretty crappy quality. At my friend's dorm, the quality is EXCELLENT -- I dunno what kind of connection she has.
this is one of the reasons that the video I have of it is bound to break soon! lol

This is just a quick random post to say Hi, as I've just recently joined the community on the reccomendation of CJR.
I would love to see Rox and Trace in Chicago! 2 great people in my favorite show! What more could I want?!
But alas I can't. As CJR and anybody else who knows me knows. I live in England and there's no way I can get out to NYC anytime soon.
Anyway, apologies for the randomness of this post. Blame it on CJR, she offered me to join and then told me to post SOMETHNG! lol
Hope to speak to you all soon!

Welcome! While you can't make it to Chicago on Broadway, perhaps you could check out the London production of Chicago at the Adelphi. I still regret passing it up on my last trip in favor of The Lion King.
Once again, welcome to the madness!
My perfect day would begin at on the beach in Hana, Maui and end at a Broadway Musical.
the newest version of the national tour of CHICAGO (with a pretty good cast, I think) will be in Houston last week of July. Don't know if it's hitting Dallas, Stevo. But you can crash at my place if you want to drive over here to see it.

I did see the London production around this time last year. It was great! I'd love to get back there, now, but I don't have the money.
the last time I saw the show was when I was in NYC for New Years in jan.

I heard about Melanie Griffith taking over Roxie. I'm still not sold on that idea. In fact, the thought of her singing kinda scares me. That said, I hope she does great. (And maybe she is already -- I know she's in rehearsals now. Has anyone heard anything?)
Deidre Goodwin goes back into Velma sometime this summer; she's leaving NINE early to do so. Griffith would have trouble keeping up with her.

I just had to share that I LOVE that quote by Bebe. I used to use that one a lot. :) And the whole singing, dancing, AND acting "I love you" quote. Bebe has the best quotes. :)

Melanie joins the company July 11th (it's a friday) and Deidre joins the company June 23 or 24 -- I can't remember which date.
As for Melanie and rehearsals... All Im saying is she's been rehearsing since they announced her signing the contract.
I prefer not to think about it and bask in the fact that Tracy is Roxie and Melanie will never half compare to her :)
Re: the tour... yes, the cast is HOT! If not for Bianca Marroquin as Roxie alone, this cast will NOT disappoint!!! :) :) This I know for an absolute fact!
CJR, who *did* just get home from 3 performances of Chicago... and it seeing 3 more this weekend.
