Hi-
Does anyone have an idea what I should charge for an original "Carrie" window card poster? Unfortunatly, I need to sell some of my Bway items collection & I can't find anyone else selling one to get a price idea...Help?

A LOT. I'll bet you could get $500.
Are you putting it on Ebay? I'd put a reserve on it.

A few years ago, Colony was selling one for $300, but another place was selling it for $75. It depends on the condition. I wish I had one, though. It's one of the 3 items I don't have.

That's my goal. Do you think I should start at $200?
I hate to lose it, I've enjoyed it since 1995 when I found it at a HORRIBLE memorabilia shop I was working at, but finances call...

It only has slight corner wear...

I saw one in Colony a few months ago, I don't think it was $300 but it was at least $150-175. (Colony tends to overprice things a bit, though!) I don't remember what kind of shape it was in off the top of my head.

Go check out eBay -- you might be disappointed if you try to sell it there. There are more than 300 window cards on offer there and less than a dozen that have bids attached. Only Merman in Gypsy and current autographed ones seem to be attracting buyers (and then for less than $30). I would sell it elsewhere.

Just a tip from the bored and currently jobless Zola.

Any other thoughts as to where? I'm in Manhattan, but I know there are lots of people in other places who would be interested, too.
& worst come to worst, that's what a reserve is for!

Ebay's your best shot, I wouldn't consider it elsewhere. You'll have access to the largest range of collectors and you won't have to sell to a dealer who will buy it for nothing and sell it for everything.

I don't think how other window cards are doing is indicative of how this more desired and peculiar piece will go.

Musical Carrie stuff usually sells for a good price on Ebay. That's where I got my souvenier program for the show.

Then a-ebaying I will probably go. I'll most likely list it in about a month, when I finish going through all my stuff. I have a whole slew of items. Any other suggestions/thoughts, I'd appreciate hearing, too.
Thanks!
