Anyone going to this? Gavin Creel, Barrett Foa, Cheyenne Jackson. I think they have rush tickets available at the theater tonight.

I'm going! I just bought my ticket online. I can't wait! As my picture would indicate, I fully support anything Gavin Creel-related.

What does it say that when I saw the title of this post, I thought of the new demon on "Angel"? Must say, it did leave me momentarilly confused.

I was there, it was GREAT!

I never saw Barrett Foa in anything before, and he is just so adorable and amusing...I would love to see him in Avenue Q some time.

Gavin didn't have the biggest role, but it was wonderful to hear his voice live again. I could listen to it all day.

And the star of the evening was definitely Cheyenne Jackson...he reminded me a lot of Marc Kudisch's Trevor Graydon in this role. He's a great comedic actor, has a beautiful voice and, to top it off, is really nice to look at.

I don't have the program near me, so I can't comment on everyone else, but I loved the rest of the cast. Twelfth Night is my favorite Shakespeare play, and I'll never look at it in the same light again :)

I really enjoyed it too! I thought the music and lyrics were teriffic! A very well done interpretation of Twelfth Night. I was very glad to hear that it will be produced this summer (a Shakespeare company in New Jersey I think).

The casting was very well done, and I felt all the people played their parts wonderfully! I heard from the stage manager that due to scheduling conflicts, they only had one run-through with the full cast before the concert. I especially loved Dan Jenkins, whom I felt I had a special bond with since Big River was the only tape my mom and dad owned when I was little and we would drive around in Houston traffic for hours on end singing at the top of our lungs, "Look out for me, oh muddy water!" Yeah, good times. But anyway, I think a great night was had by all.

It was a wonderful evening benefiting a great theatre company!

I agree with the above posts, the benefit was very enjoybable. Barrett Foa was ADORABLE, Laura Marie Duncan was great, and Cheyenne Jackson was absolutely hilarious as Orsino. Such great comedic timing and a HUGE voice. The highlight for me was a love song he sang to the velvet-voiced Gavin Creel, (who he thought was someone else)...the audience was in stitches, and it was just great to see the two of them together. The score was great, and though I would have made a few cuts, I believe it has potential.

Well, of course he is :) His face is priceless.

I loved when Cheyenne said to Megan, "Beautiful?" and Megan went, "You would probably think so." hahaha.

It was very cool. Gavin's got great comic timing, and Cheyenne was channeling some serious Trevor Graydon in his performance which was dead-on perfect for Orsino.

The show is brilliant. It's a beautiful serving of Shakespeare - terribly smart and clever, and plays upon the lovely language of the text, but it rarely drags. Moves a complex Shakespeare plotline along at a great pace. I cannot wait to see this at New Jersey Shakes!

Nah, sorry, I don't think our boys are doing the NJ Shakespeare Company. Too bad...I would have loved to have seen them actually doing it as a show in the costumes and everything! They were both just gorgeous and HYSTERICAL up there.

It's great to know that a few of you went to the reading. It truly is a wonderful piece. Peter Mills is a talented composer that I hope gets more credit in the near future.

As for the show, The cast was pretty much to die for. No weaknesses whatsoever (the original was so-so). It was nice to see a talented cast on stage having fun - many of them understanding the plot as they performed it(!!) - and singing the crap out of the score. Daniel Jenkins, Trent Armand Kendall and Marcus Neville were HILARIOUS! Megan McGinnis was soooo cute and will be adorable as Beth in Little Women! As for Gavin and Barrett I'm sure they enjoyed performing together for the first time since college (you will soon find out how gavin is my hero) I wish I could tell you all about the amazing night we had at the reception afterwards... :)

I was at the reception, but couldn't stay late and it was SO CROWDED in there we left after a little while :) It was cool, though, they seemed like a really nice group of performers!

I LOVE that picture of him from his Cabaret show. I just can't bring myself to change it to anything else. And those jeans...

Anyway, the reception was fun too! Though I sat outside for the whole thing and it was freezing, I did enjoy my share of cake and ale...oh and those eggrolls. Yum.

But, I digress...it was good times! And I agree with whoever said they were looking forward to Little Women, I think Megan will be simply beautiful in her role.

Oh, were you the guy or in the same group as the guy who kinda looked like Christian Bale? I saw Gavin wave in a few guys and say, "Okay, you guys are in!" or something.
