This is from the desk of Richard Johnson, remember. Johnson is a "Sweet Smell of Success"-styled gossip, and a mean-spirited, right-wing fanatic at times, too. Consider the source: The NY Post. Let's give Puffy a chance. His performance has already been pronounced DOA. Maybe he'll surprise us. We don't get enough opportunities to see RAISIN, so I'm rooting for it. And him.

Considering the first rehearsal was two days ago, and that the cast read through the entire play together (and apparently Combs came in very prepared, knowing his lines already), I'd say this is BS, yes.

okay, that's just funny. does anybody besides me have a sneaking suspicion that the folks at the post get a tip like this, giggle hysterically and print it anyway? i mean c'mon, he hasn't read the script? please. give a brutha a chance.

Thanks papa! I don't think its fair to the show on the second day of rehearsal to report this. Do they honestly want the show to fail? Well the answer seems obvious. If it does bad it means more gossip and more sales.
