"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

its 35min long, its the same show where Beauty and the Beast started, so who knows where it could go! its different music i'm pretty sure, but not COMPLETELY different, i know i'm being vague... but i'm trying.
It is new, but it hasn't replaced Aladdin, Aladdin is at the Hyperion theater and Snow White will play at the newly renovated Fantasyland Theater in Disneyland.
They are in two different PARKS. Aladdin plays at The Hyperion theatre, an indoor venue, at Disney's California Adventure. Snow White is at the Fantasyland Theatre, an ampitheatre, in Disneyland
Like all the short 30 minutes musicals at the Disney parks, I'm sure it will stay in the park. They were created as highly theatrical rest spots for the exhausted crowds. I've seen a few of them and they are usually good, but obviously created strictly for the park, not Broadway. I've heard Aladdin is the best of the lot and probably deserves to go on to a bigger production, but it was designed only for the park.

I heard the only difference is that when the Queen slaps Snow White she injures her so badly that she has to wear a neck brace for the rest of the show. Oh, and Snow dies at the end.
I agree with Mister Matt. At Disneyworld in Florida, they have a lot of shows based on the films. Some of them are actually quite good and I could imagine them moving on to a higher scale theater. "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" was one of them.
I've seen Aladdin and will be seeing Snow White in 2 weeks.

As far as Aladdin goes - the production elements - set, costumes, lighting and effects are stunning. The acting - I've seen better in High School theatres. It was bad when we were there a few weeks ago. The storyline is so hashed down if you didn't know the storyline, you'd be lost. I applaud Disney for putting on these shows in the park - they are much needed. But, I wish they took more care with the casting. Oh, and I did read at several Disney websites that they are considering expanding Aladdin for Broadway. Fact or fiction - your guess is as good as mine.
