Any rumors on casting for either one of these? A friend called and found out that tickets go on sale to members for Birdie on 2/20 and to the public on 2/22, and for Nine it's 3/26 and 3/28... So now just need to know who is in them!
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist.
Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino.
This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more.

He was pretty terrible in it when he did the one-night concert for Transport Group last year.
Karen Akers, on the other hand, was STILL a fantastic Luisa!

Santino was indeed shockingly bad in the part. The role has enough laissez-faire in the writing. And then we got an actor who truly didn’t care on TOP of that.

It seemed like he was doing a "cold read" of the score. His eyes rarely left the pages of the script --similar to when Olympia Dukakis (who sounded like a great idea on paper) did the Encores 70 Girls, 70!
It's a regional theatre. It's possible that an actor fell out or they wanted to have a deal done by now, but Broadway and film/tv will always come ahead of the Kennedy Center.
