Is that for a group of theaters tho? Guessing the Aurora/Paramount thing is based on a single theater’s record. That was what made me think something like Broadway In Chicago running 5(?) theaters didn’t get the crown. Maybe?
Impressive, at a time when some subscription theatres have seen their subscriber base cut in half post-pandemic. Whatever the specifics and loopholes of the language, perhaps at minimum it's fair to say this is the largest subscriber base for a nonprofit theatre producer (not presenter).
Beautiful historic theatre, Broadway-quality productions and casts, reasonable ticket prices, and great location near heavily-populated upscale Chicago suburbs. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Good for them.
And the new "Bold" series is a nice addition with edgier shows in a second smaller theatre. Fun Home was amazing last year, and looking forward to Next to Normal this season.
