I’ve been wondering, how does one get invited to a pre-taped performance? Is it just friends and family, e.g. invited dress?
"

I actually got invited to this because I’m a member of the Frequent Pie-ers Facebook group and they sent out a form for us to fill out to have this opportunity. But for other things, it’s usually just friends and family. I remember when tours started back up a lot of performers were talking about how their dress performances were for friends, family, maybe health care workers. Otherwise it’s not open to the public unless they do what they did in the Frequent Pie-er group

Saw Jennifer tonight and she blew me away. Acted the hell out of it and her voice was just - wow. Changed up "Everything Changes" a little, sang the high notes lower, but somehow it worked and was so beautiful. Oh how I wish there was a recording of every single performer who plays Jenna...

Nik Dodani (and I feel terrible for saying this) just wasn't good. Couldn't hit the notes, I feel like he just can't sing. Makes me a little sad as Never Ever Getting Rid of Me is one of my favorite moments in the show, but I know Christopher Fitzgerald is a hard act to follow...

Do we know who will be playing Dr. P on Nov 25 and Nov 26? (Will it be the understudy?)

Grace Stockdale has replaced Molly Jobe(u/s Jenna).

A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.

Is anyone at Ciara’s first performance as Jenna? And for good measure, who is on for Pomatter?

I still can’t believe she will be Broadway’s final Jenna…

It looked like Henry Gottfried was Pomatter last night. Also, Cherise Thomas has replaced Nyla Watson and there's two new Lulus in the show.

I saw Ciara Renee on 11/27, evening performance and she was amazing.  They changed the actors for Ogie and Dr. Pomatter after that performance.  Ogie's departure was announced, but not Dr. Pomatter.  Maybe he did the matinee on 11/28?

What a great show it was!

revisited this show tonight. Shoshana Bean's performance remains the hallmark for me here, but the show is in good shape and I am happy to have been cajoled into seeing this again.

i dont know if the Barrymore is smaller than the Brooks Atkinson, but this show fits so much better here- it feels snugger and more intimate. The whole cast is on their game, but a shoutout to Ashley Blanchet who was phenomenal, and to understudy Olivia Lucy Phillip who I thought really nailed Becky. (Her "I Didnt Plan It" was different in the best ways).

The Main Event is Ciara Renee and Joshua Henry, of course, and of the three pairs I've seen this one is by far the most believably into each other. Henry in particular has turned a throwaway bit character into a real leading man, and of course he sounds incredible. Bad Idea was off the hook. Renee is doing a great job but (i) isn't as naturally funny as the role calls for at times, and (ii) belts her head off without doing anything all that interesting vocally. Those are minor gripes though and I really would recommend seeing her and Henry light.it.up.

Tonight was Eric Anderson's last performance, and Dakin Matthews gave the MOST perfect, beautiful speech about him and the backstage crew. Seemingly off the cuff but had the whole audience in the palm of his hand, and brought Anderson to tears. What a guy.

The Barrymore has just two more seats than the Atkinson.

Kennedy Salters, who has been playing Becky on the non-equity tour, is joining the Broadway company this week as a Becky standby! https://www.instagram.com/p/CXWiHvpjQTD/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

She was always wonderful first time around...glad she is back to enoy the last weeks

I saw that speech on the internet..Dakin is such a sweetheart. When he was at the Brooks, I told him it was so exciting to meet "Professor Charleston" from Gilmore Girls. He promptly popped a photo of him with Alexis Bledel and Liza Weill out of his pocket and signed it for me. I didn't expect that.

I see that Benny Elledge is back to play Cal for the last weeks. He was a great Cal too!

How do I find this??

Glad to hear Ashley Blanchet has settled into the role. I'd be curious to see the Becky understudy or standby as I think you lucked out there. I don't think I can justify going back for the leads based on that review.
