I am late to the party on this show. Binged it over the past couple of days and Loved it.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is up for many Emmy nods next week.

Season 1 trailer.

You are insanely late to this party, but that's okay. He has won many awards for his brilliant performance and will absolutely be nominated and will most likely win an Emmy. Season 2 comes out in a few weeks!

Season two trailer.

I would have been even later if it wasn't for the 3 free months I received. :)

Watched the first 2 on a plane ride and was into it! His accent kind of threw me but other runs that I like the vibe.

Yeah, southern accents are SUPER HARD to understand. Right..SouthernCakes? Lolz.

Huss, my favorite moments are him taking off his ring at the beginning of an episode and losing it on Jamie, anything with Keeley, and the final episode when Jamie gets Ted's note. My God. The brilliance.

Absolutely cannot wait for the next season.

I would say my absolute favorite moment was the use of the song Strange by Celeste in Episode 7. Song was written well before the show but was an absolute perfect fit.

Also last episode when Jason Sudekis hits his head on the door. Was painful watching but read after that he actually hit it and his scalp was bleeding. Cant get more realistic then that. :)

That was a gorgeous song to use in that moment, absolutely. I love the streets and pubs they use, I know they are especially dressed up for shooting but they are lovely.

Well, that wasn’t my point. The accent feels like a sketch character - which it kind of is based on - and doesn’t feel like a real person where as everything else feels based in reality. So that took me by surprise at first.

Man, I had just forgotten about that terrible, cursed show. Sigh.

Yes, I love that basically everyone was nominated (besides Jamie) and it's up for best Comedy, which it will most likely win.

Congratulations to all!!

I really loved it! I almost wouldn’t even consider it a comedy. It’s just a show. A really great show.

Wow. Loved, loved, loved season one of this fun and refreshing show, and pleased with the many Emmys it justly received.

However, IMHO, the show has officially jumped the shark, and so quickly in season two no less. Ted Lasso is no longer a comedy, just a smarmy melodrama. And I guess the writers felt compelled to showcase the supporting cast and leave Ted out of much of the action.

While the Jaws theme has been beating around for several episodes, getting especially jumpy at Dr. Sharon's concussion and Ted's admission of his father's suicide, the shark finally sprang into action in episode 9 when Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) donned disco gold glitter pants. This episode made no sense, showcased Beard for no apparent reason, and was lazily written with stupid pointless coincidence after stupid pointless coincidence.

Clip of the shark happily jumping in the episode's church cum disco scene, replete with hula hoop:

It's a perfect show with wonderful writing. It hasn't jumped anything. Im so glad they explored Ted's trauma and Brendan Hunt is such a treasure, that wonderfully weird episode of him all over London.

Love this show so very much. It's outstanding in EVERY way.

This episode made no sense

That was the point of it.

Now that have apple plus for free for a few months, I'll get a chance to catch it.  I've been hearing great things from a diverse group of people.

I will say that particular episode you're referring to is a lighter episode compared to the last two episodes that have aired which have been very, very heavy. I wanted a bit more information about why Coach Beard the way he is and I got that in that episode.

Deeply love this show and the growth of all the characters.

Yes, I watch it. Loved the first season, but the second hasn't grabbed me yet. Billy Crudup continues to be my favorite part of the show.

Crudup and Jennifer crackle together! They rewrote the second season to fit in with the start of COVID. Ultimately I think that is what is going to make it interesting. Season 1 built nicely to a grand finish. So we shall see. Right now they all think COVID is a mild flu virus….

I was disappointed with the season 2 finale and where they are headed with Nate (and why is hair suddenly so white). I stand by my opinion that, sadly, the series has jumped the shark. There is reportedly just one more season coming. Will be interesting to see if the sophomore season is nominated for any major Emmys, and if the show will be classified as comedy or drama.

It's a brilliant show about people relationships and building communities. And due to the success and love of the show, they are talking about 4 seasons. Lastly, Nick Mohammed said that the change to his hair was indeed intentional, with a combination of bitterness, guilt, shame, and stress causing the turn to gray.
