Doesn't give a timeline, but surely this is aimed at Broadway? Although I have to say i've never heard of the director.

It's a Ken Davenport production -- what could possibly go wrong?

a) Ken

b) Glen Kelly - if he's involved you can be absolutely certain that the folks writing the music haven't had much experience.

What's the deal with Glen Kelly, bk?

I wonder what's next- Caddyshack? We can reuse the Punxatawney Phil costume from GROUNDHOG DAY and put the gopher onstage.

I really wish that the 5th would stop churning out new world premieres. We had three new shows this season (Austen's Pride, Doubtfire, and Bliss), and I have yet to be blown away by any of those. It feels like a quantity over quality thing, unfortunately. I'll be curious to see what happens with this one.

Be nice to Glen Kelly, he’s doing the best he can.

Behind the fake tinsel of Broadway is real tinsel.

Donna Feore is associated with the Stratford Festival and is directing their new production of Chicago set to open this spring.
She is married to actor Colm Feore.

While in New York 3 weeks ago, at dinner one night, I sat beside some people pitching a show to someone they wanted as a music director, for a show they said was set for this fall at the 5th Avenue in Seattle. BUT it definitely wasn't this, it was some sort of jazz era show, that they said had a previous run in Sarasota.

Pretty much anything new done at 5th Ave has its eyes on Bway.

Glen Kelly is a prolific Dance Arranger and Musical Arranger. In that capacity, he was the unofficial co-composer of The Producers and Young Frankenstein, basically turning Mel's melodies into real Broadway songs. He has also arranged a bunch of Casey Nicholaw, Alan Menken, and Susan Stroman shows (Something Rotten, The Prom, Mean Girls, Aladdin, Bullets Over Bway, Spamalot, Drowsy, Beauty, etc).

bk is being a little snarky, but the scores of all those shows probably looked quite different before Glen Kelly got his hands on them.

I wonder if they'll be doing an entire fall of new shows again, followed with Shrek for the holiday show. We were supposed to get Stu for Silverton and Shrek this current season, but then they pushed Shrek to next year for Doubtfire...  I'm curious to know what that Jazz era show could be.

Did some googling, and the people were Glenn Slater and Wendy Wilf, and maybe it wasn't a "jazz age" show, but they definitely wanted jazz musicians. Found this article, and I think this is the show:

David Rossmer and Steve Rosen are actor/writers who co-wrote and starred in The Other Josh Cohen off-Broadway.   They both have numerous Broadway acting credits as well.

Thank you! This makes a lot of sense, given that I think we did it a Village/another regional theatre pretty recently.
