How bad is the partial view?

Stage is pretty elevated.  There are quite a few photos on a viewfrommyseat.com that can give you better context.

I rushed today (Monday 1/13). I arrived around 9:00am and I was the 16th in line. I got the last rush ticket. The seat was orchestra left, not partial view.

I rushed this morning, January 18th. At 1st I just popped my head in on the 17th around 3:30pm and the concierge said all that was left was a single $220 (not knowing that issac would be back).

So today, the 18th, I got there at 8:10am and I was 9th in line. By the time the window opened, there were 34 people total in line. Not sure if everyone got a ticket but I got 2 partial view tickets for the evening show (apparently all rush are partial view) in the box seats. Can’t wait!

Any recent reports?

Sorry for the delay but here’s a report from Sunday 2/2. My friends and I arrived earlier then necessary but we needed five tickets so it was kinda a crap shoot since there wasn’t recent reports. But the next group got there around 8:45am and the line continued to grow until 12:00 when the box office opened with about 20 people. So when the box office gave us tickets 2 were in the left box and 3 were in the 2nd row of the right orchestra, all were extremely partial view in different ways. However it’s important to note they only gave out 10 tickets that day, so our five, the group behind us needed four, and one more person (their friend was looking at full price tickets when we left). Hope this helps someone!

Can you elaborate on their varying partial-view'ness?

No way where I sat yesterday was that extreme PV. Everything was seen and it was great. (2nd row to the side). Did the booster seat not help you? The video screens were in perfect view

The box seats couldn't see stage right and some of the upstage screens, though we could see the choreography/deaths. In the Orchestra Row C seats 9-13 though we could see the screens you have to rely on them for any Doc's store & bridal shop scenes because you can't see any of it. Additionally Row C you can't see anything below the knees, so any floor/death scenes you don't see. Our friend in C 13 could see way less but he was over 6ft so that's why he could still see. For perspective, all of us are around 5'5"/5'7" except our friend on the end.

Lastly, the usher specifically told us we couldn't use a booster seat as we would obstruct the full price ticket holder. So WldKingdomHM it would have helped!

How many tickets do you need?  Do you care where in the line you are?

Any recent reports? Are they selling more rush tickets now that previews are over and the creative team doesn't need seats set aside? Hopefully they don't continue only selling 10 tickets. Would love to go back and see it again, but I'll wait until TDF as to avoid partial view a 2nd time.

You will be fine. A friend of mine got there on a Sunday fifteen minutes before the rush went on sale, and we got perfect seats. Enjoy!

With how many people in front of your friend in line?

What seats were your friend given?

WldKingdomHM, when did you see WSS? It could be different now that it's opened?  Also, where were your seats, all of these posts say 'partial view' and you say 'perfect seats'!  Just wondering.
Thanks!

I sat in C 9 orchestra both times. It’s labeled PV because you don’t see their feet or you can’t see the scenes in the shop and deli etc but that’s the purpose is to watch the video. I didn’t mind it at all, and loved the performances both times i saw it.

I hope to rush on Saturday for the matinee but my bus will not arrive until after 10am. Would anyone want to help me get a ticket and I will return the favor with coffee/snack when we meet up at the performance, thanks! Please message me here (or instagram messenger, same username).

So multiple hours of waiting outside in the cold is worth $5, eh?

Got to the theatre around 7:30 AM on Saturday 2/29 and was first in line! Next group didn't arrive until 8:30, then the line grew rapidly from there. I think the cold weather was why people didn't arrive earlier. I was given Left Orchestra, Row C, Seats 10 & 12 (marked partial view) for the evening show.

Personally, I thought the seats were great for $39! They are SO close, and you could pretty much see everything. The only con, as previously mentioned, was the height of the stage. I sat on the booster seat, which helped a lot, but was a bit uncomfortable towards the end. I really only missed the actors lying on the stage, which wasn't much.

If you can choose between these and the box, definitely take these!!!

What do you guys think are the chances of getting a rush seat after the box office opens for a Wednesday matinee?

Woohoo. After ditching 24th in line at Six, I am currently first in line for rush at West Side Story.

Sooooo lonely....so very lonely.
I need a hug.
And coffee.

You made the right call, WSS like 1000% better than Six. 👍 Don't shoot me Six fans, it's just personal preference. WSS is epic and brilliant. The music is breathtaking.
PS our box seats were great, you miss a little but the design of the production doesn't intend that you see everything no matter where your seat is. So much happening on stage you can't possibly take it all in. Loved Isaac (Tony) omg his voice. ❣️❣️❣️
