Question for anyone who has seen a Beetlejuice matinee performance: Does Alex Brightman normally go to the stage door after a matinee performance? Im going to see a matinee show for my birthday and would love to meet him.

He barely ever comes out to help save his voice and play the part he needs to play for other people in future performances. I’d just write a letter to him asking for a signed playbill.

Thank you, I just wasn’t sure. Do I just put my home address in the letter and he’ll send me a signed playbill?

Yup! You should still stagedoor though. I’ve seen it 3 times but never a matinee, so I don’t know how that will go, but lots of the cast came out every time. BTW Alex takes about a month to respond. For a Broadway celeb that’s pretty good.

FWIW, Alex Brightman tweeted that he would not be stage-dooring at all during October so that he could rest. Given this is the start of cold season and his vocals are super-demanding, I totally get it!

Dunno if this affects your planning, OP, but figured it might help to know!
