Sorry this post is late, but two weeks ago (May 2) Whoopi Goldberg heaped much praise on 'The Ferryman' on The View, a show she had seen the night before. Whoopi pointed out it deserves every Tony nomination it was nominated for the day before - the show knocked her out and the performances were flawless.“You will see your family in it. It doesn’t matter what you look like; your family is represented here because this is what we all have gone through and go through every day.” said Goldberg. In the past, Goldberg and her other cohosts have taken turns praising "Summer", "Margaritaville", "Head Over Heels", and especially "Ruben & Clay's First Annual Christmas Carol Family Fun Pageant Spectacular Reunion Show" . Let's hope her praise of 'The Ferryman' isn't the kiss of death for this show.
Goldberg and her other co-hosts probably received complimentary tickets to these plays/musicals from the producers. Free publicity. Free marketing.

Not sure whether the producers are sending them tickets, or they are calling their 'contacts' connected to the show and get tickets.I remember Rosie O'Donnell always saying she would take Elisabeth Hasslebeck and her children to see Disney shows on Broadway, because Hasslebeck never went to the theater. Maybe the tix aren't available to all?
