I don't think it's that at all....I think people purchased them so far in advance that either life has gotten in the way or friends back out of plans.  It is pretty mind boggling though...particularly those that spent big bucks on tickets....how do you not prioritize that?

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Not sure how a handful of people is a lot. But they are also harder to resell, since you can't resell them on Ticketmaster (last I looked) and most of the tickets are mobile tickets (which are harder to sell on StubHub and not always an option for new sellers).

I was supposed to see it next month, but *surprise* buying tickets 13 months in advance, life happened and couldn't make it. 

Thankfully, it IS a hot ticket and Ticketmaster accepted my refund, no questions.

It's a very hot ticket, but the rescission of the return policy has caused problems for some people. Since tickets cannot be refunded and the box office will not try and re-sell your tickets for you, people need to find alternative ways to sell their tickets.
