If so, can you comment on it. Do they smoke cigarettes on the stage? Alot of shows have been doing that lately and we don't want stage seating if they do. Thanks
BWAY Baby2 said: "I was there when it was playing- and ticket4s were very scarce and very expensive. That being said, it did not get very good reviews. Maybe it will be somewhat revised before coming to Bway. BTW- reviews for The Ferryman in Londonwere excellent- andI was blown away by it- highly recommend that one."
It got 5 stars from the Guardian and Time Out and 4 stars from the Independent and WhatsOnStage. The NY Times was mixed to positive. Variety was one major outlet that was unimpressed. But to say "it didn't get very good reviews" is a mischaracterization.

How did this thread go from a question about cigarette smoking to a review of the production? BWAY Baby2, this is another example of your need to post opinions that no one is asking for. If you can't answer the OP, why are you saying anything?
Be they real tobacco or sage herbal cigs, the smell is bad and caused significant eye/sinus discomfort. I had this problem with Boys in the Band, Front Page, and the recent off/Bway "The True" w/Edye Falco. If they plan to do that, I can't sit on the stage or in first 10 rows.
Though I paid for a 3rd row seat at Boys, I had to move further back. You could also hear other folks coughing. Many folks complained about the bad smell of whatever the Boys were smoking and smoking constantly. Folks in the balcony were speaking up.
My only complaint is that they place disclaimers for "loud noise," "strobe lights," "fog," yet nothing ab out cigs. If you have lung or asthma problems, smoke is smoke. I called telecharge and they didn't know. Theater BO doesn't open for another month so there's no one there to ask. I posted in West End but no one replied. Doesn't look like the West End chat room gets much activity.
I saw it in London but I don't remember if they use cigarettes onstage or not, sorry. I kind of don't think they did? I also get bothered by the smell of it, so I can only imagine how it would be up close!
The play was great over there, and hopefully Tatiana Maslany will be an improvement over Michelle Dockery.
Thanks, if you don't remember, then maybe they don't. For some reason, based on what I read or someone told me, I thought Cranston was health conscious. Lord knows he keeps his weight down.
What role does Tatiana Maslany play? The news producer that Faye Dunaway played in the movie?
