I'm so glad that they ditched the John Logan book. IMO, it was the weakest part of the Broadway show by far.

Thanks for posting. Last December, my sister and I spent a bone-chilling week traveling through Quebec, so a road trip to Toronto in early 2019 isn't out of the question!

Seconded. I liked the songs and the staging but nothing any of the characters did from one scene to the next made sense.

Thanks concierge.... There are a couple pictures up on the mirvish.com website.  Looks like more elaborate set. But not really sure.  The few i saw of the original looked bare.

I'm assuming those pictures are from the UK tour?

Here's an article with more info.  Including this quote:
According to producer Karl Sydow, “The book has been completely rewritten. Virtually nothing of John Logan’s work remains. Entire characters and plot lines have been replaced or cut.” It is this version that Toronto will see in 2019.
