What are the options available if you rush DEH? Is it only SRO? Or are other seats available?  What are the price points?

Has anyone tried rushing since the holiday season ended?  Wondering how early I would need to get there on a Sunday to try for an SRO ticket for an 8 p.m. performance that appears sold out online.

There are no rush tickets, only SRO (when the show is sold out) and the online lottery. The box office also sells $69 box seats in advance.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

They sell different amounts of SRO tickets ($42 each) when box office opens. I have read anywhere from 9-18 tickets are available. There were 12 sold on the day we got there at 6:20 ish am. There was also a cancellation line closer to showtime, but I think those are not discounted.

Thanks!  Seeing another show at 3 p.m. on Sunday so hoping I can get SRO ticket for the 7:30 DEH.

Has anyone sat in the boxes for the show? I was thinking of buying them, but I wasn't sure about the view or what I would miss.

Is SRO cash only or credit too?

You can use a credit card for SRO tickets.

I have sat in the box seats. The view from there is great. You will miss some of the impact of the projections on extreme stage right and there's one part of Requiem where you may lose sight of Jennifer Laura Thompson for a few minutes, but you'll still hear her. The view from the box seats is preferable to the partial view seats on the extreme side of the left orchestra. You'll see mostly everything from the box.

Has anyone had recent success purchasing the in-advance box seats? What's the wait like?

Last Saturday night I went to the box office to see what they had for future dates. I was able to get a single box seat (seat 1) for a Friday in February at the $69 price. They even had a seat for the Tuesday of this week, but I passed because I preferred a weekend night. Also, I could have gotten more than one partial view ticket for after April, but each ticket would have been $99.

Thanks for information on this thread -  I got to the SRO line around 6:45 (aimed for 7) and the next person didn't get there until 7 ish on January 20(Sat). There were about 11 people in line in front of me which made me nervous (since people said there about 16 SRO or less for each show). The line was pretty dead until 7:30 ish then starting adding 10 or more people around 8am and then there was a constant flow of people until 8:30ish where the line ended at the Imperial.  I forgot to ask the box office how many were left; but I easily was able to get SRO for 2 for either the afternoon or evening. The people in front of me only got a single ticket each so that made it easy. Whew.  It's super cold though so I would bring a chair or blanket or hit the starbucks before you get in line (as I was a singular person waiting, I didn't want to impose and jump out of line to get something once I was in).

The show is definitely worth seeing and the view of the SRO tickets are great! (behind the last row of the first floor-definitely better than what I could afford had there been seats available for that 8pm showing) there's a wall thing that you can lean on so it wasn't that bad standing for the 2 ish hours. I saw people line up for Comet next door(if you're not using the codes) around 6:45 and were the first ones so not as early as the DEH line but that line steadily had people joining it versus the spurts of DEH.  I preferred DEH over Comet.

My 2 daughters and myself want to try for SRO for evening performance Wed Mar 6th. We can't get to BO until about 10:30am.

I'm not really clear on how this works. If the show is not sold out then SRO's won't be sold?

Thank you

I have heard that SRO includes unclaimed digital lottery tickets--and that if you show up early they may tell you there are no SRO seats, but if you go around 4pm (deadline for lottery winners to buy their tickets) they will sell those unclaimed lottery tickets as SRO. So if they tell you they don't have SRO at 10:30, try again closer to 4pm too. Please report back on your experience, since I'm interested in trying this at some point soon. Good luck!!

Any recent rush experiences lately?

This Tuesday I stopped by the box office at around noon.. they didn't have any Rush left and the mid-priced tickets were way over to the side in row O. Like $99 or $109? I passed and around 2:45 stopped by TCKTS and got a center seat row G for $98. (With the height of the stage at the music box I wouldn't want to be much closer than Row G... pretty perfect seat).

Andrew Barth Feldman is pretty amazing in the role... one of the best performances I've seen so for sure try to see it if you can. (I haven't seen any previous Evan's so nothing to compare it to but it's hard to imagine anyone doing a better job).

On 10/2, a Wednesday, I stopped by the box office around 5pm and they had 1 rush priced seat for the evening performance. It was in one of the first few rows of the mezz off towards the side. They said it was partial view.

I rushed yesterday 10/19. I got there at around 9:15 and was the 20th person in line. By the 5th person they were sold out of rush for the matinee and the person in front of me got the last single seat for the evening show. I was able to get a standing room seat in center orchestra for the evening but I believe they still had some standing room available for the matinee at that time as well.

I didn’t realize that DEH had rush tickets. Has anyone tried this recently? Any info on how early you need to be there or where the seat locations are?

I did the Rush for Saturday, 10/19. I got there around 8am. My friend & I were about 5-6th in line, although I don't really know how long it took for the line to fill up but it was decently long by 10am.

When we got to purchase our tickets, it seemed that the matinee show rush seats were already sold out & there were only seats available for the evening show. All the seats were single seats though. We were considering it until they showed us the seats which were the two furthest left & right seats in the back orchestra. They did offer SRO tickets, which is what we ended up getting for the matinee (which was our preferred time anyway).

SRO was very worth it. We were directly center to the stage and since it's a show that doesn't really require the stage from top to bottom, the overhanging from the mezzanine wasn't a bother at all. Highly recommend the SRO over the far left or right seats in orchestra.

Hope that helps you & others. :)
