Liked the Rap and Crucible Cast Party. Zoned out for the rest kinda. Happy for Lin tho! And glad i watched it.

He was fine, not great. His strength is obviously the rap and he did that very well. I don't see him as a great singer or actor but he's charming. It was another mediocre SNL episode and that's certainly not his fault. Doesn't seem to matter who the host is. The show needs a new direction.
The only review of a show that matters is your own.

There were some funny moments...but a reminder as to why I seldom watch

Thought Lin was great the first half of the show. Loved Twenty One Pilots. Second half of the show didn't have any great material. Didn't change my opinion to watch SNL any time soon.

Agreed with the majority. this was the first time I watch SNL, and besides the opening skit, that CNN reporter skit and of course, the theatre cast party, I barely laughed. Colored me underwhelmed about SNL, but it was excellent to see Lin so successful! The monologue was perfect

For those that thought the ratings would be awful:
'As a whole, the show drew a 5.2 household rating on average, which ties the best total for a second episode since James Franco hosted all the way back with Kings of Leon in 2008. Meanwhile, its 18-49 demo rating of a 2.4 is the best for the show since 2013, which is when Miley Cyrus served as both the host and the musical guest for the evening.'

Only laughed once when Winthrop said "Thay that to my fathe bitch" in the Music Man sketch. But certainly not Lin's fault. Nobody can salvage this material.
